Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Regigigas & Heatran Event
For those of you in Europe and Oceania, the second month of the Legendary Pokémon Year events have begun. From now until March 24th 2018, players will be able to get a Regigigas in Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun or Heatran in Pokémon Moon and Ultra Moon simply by going through Mystery Gift > Get Via Internet. These distributions differ between Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon with the Pokémon being Level 60 in Sun & Moon and Level 100 holding a Gold Bottle Cap in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Our Event Database has full details of this event.
This even will be distributed in North America through the official Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter. Players have until tomorrow to sign up to the newsletter on the official site to be eligible

The next special Group Match has been announced on Pokkén Tournament DX. From March 9th through March 12th you can participate in the Forest's Flash Group Match. This cup is a Basic Battle competition, once again on a Fixed Battle Arena. Participating in this brings a special title reward based on Sceptile, and if you place highly you'll get other titles based on your placement.

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Battle Competition
Details for the next Battle Competition have been announced. This is the 2018 International Challenge March competition. This is a Double Battle competition using standard VGC rules, with players being able to earn CP to go towards qualification for the World Championships.. All Pokémon will be raised to Level 50 for the duration of the competition. Registration runs from March 15th 2018 to March 22nd 2018. Battles will run from March 23rd through March 25th. All entrants will get the 50 Battle Points.
In addition to this, this allows players to earn Championship Points to go towards a place in the World Championships

Pokémon the Movie 2018 - World Premiere
The world premiere of the new trailer for the upcoming movie due for release in Japan in July 2018 has just aired on the Japanese variety show Oha Suta. The movie is now called Pokémon: Everyone's Story (みんなの物語)
In the trailer, it shows a large city and Lugia flying over. It showcases the new girl, Lisa and her Eevee, a performer called Kagachi and his Sudowoodo, a weak researcher called Trito and his Chansey, an elderly trainer called Hisui with a Togepi, Totodile, Smoochum & Marill and a mysterious girl called Largo before it pans to Ash with Lugia flying over and meeting all the other trainers.

Pokémon GO - Pokémon Day Event
A new event has been announced for Pokémon GO. To coincide with the 22nd anniversary of Pokémon tomorrow, a Pikachu with a special hat will begin appearing in the game to capture. This Pikachu comes with a special purple striped party hat, the same one as last year, but unlike last year's one will come with the move Present, a move Pikachu does not normally have. It also gives triple Stardust upon capture. This Pikachu will be appearing through February 28th at 21:00 UTC.

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on March 25th, This event will give 3* the usual amount of capture experience and has 3 Hour Lure Modules. However, it will also give out special Bulbasaur with a yet unannounced special move. We'll bring more details as they come. This runs at specific times:
The Asia-Pacific region: 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST (GMT +9)
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC (GMT +0)

The Special Giovanni's Nidoking raid has begun in Pokémon GO in Japan. This raid will be running at Pokémon Centers across Japan from today until March 11th. The raids run every 90 minutes from 4pm on Weekdays and 11am on Weekends. This Giovanni runs at a CP of 32111, which is higher than the 24873 CP of previous Nidoking raids. When captured, this Nidoking has no special moves.

Pikachu Talk
The Pikachu Talk service is now live in various countries. This app works on Amazon Alexa compatible devices in many countries, and Google Home in the US and allows for you to converse with Pikachu, command it to use Thunderbolt, have it tell you a story and various other features. This app came out in Japan late last year. Currently, the service only supports English and Japanese

Potentially to tie in with Pokémon's 22nd anniversary, special features have been added to Snapchat for a few days. These are face camera features which will have you appear with a Bulbasaur, causing a Razor Leaf to happen when you open your mouth. It's currently unknown for how long this will run but we will bring full details as it comes

Today marks the Pokémon GO Community Day. On this day, for three hours in each region, Dratini will appear, enmass, in Pokémon GO. During this event, when you evolve a Dragonair into Dragonite or capture a Dragonite, it will know the move Draco Meteor, which is exclusive to this event. This coincides with triple Stardust with captures and Lure Modules running for 3 hours. This runs at these times:

A new trailer has been released for Detective Pikachu. This trailer showcases more of the game but doesn't provide much more new information. However, it does note that in North America, some retailers will provide a download code for a special 3DS theme. In addition to this, a special demo for the start of the game will be released in early March, which will then have its progress transfer to the game. For those of you in many countries, the Dialga & Palkia event is due to end next week. This event gives a Palkia to Sun and Ultra Sun and a Dialga to Moon and Ultra Moon. In Sun & Moon, these are Level 60 while in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon they are Level 100 and hold Gold Bottle Caps. This is the first month in a year long campaign giving away the version exclusive Legendary Pokémon. It runs until February 28th 2018.
In the US & Ireland, you can get codes at Gamestop until February 28th
In Canada & Australia, you can get codes at EBGames until February 28th
In the UK, you can get codes at GAME until February 28th
In Spain, you can get codes at GAME until February 28th
In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland & Italy, you can get codes at Gamestop until February 28th

Legendary Week has been announced. From February 23rd through to March 5th, Kyogre and Groudon will appear again in Raid Battles in Pokémon GO along with Rayquaza. Following this, depending on which of the three Legendary Pokémon are defeated the most, from March 5th to March 16th, the egg distributions will be different. If Groudon is defeated, then Grass, Ground and Fire-type Pokémon will appear more in Eggs. If Kyogre is most defeated, then Water, Electric and Bug-type Pokémon will appear more in eggs and if Rayquaza is most defeated, then Psychic, Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon will appear more in eggs. To coincide with this, starting tomorrow more Special Boxes will be available containing valuable items including Premium Raid Passes

A special new raid boss has been announced for Japan. To tie in with the current Team Rainbow Rocket takeover of the Pokémon Center stores, from February 26th to March 11th, a special raid battle will appear. This is a Raid against Giovanni's Nidoking. This Nidoking is stronger than previous Nidoking Raid bosses that ran in the game until recently. If players succeed in defeating Giovanni's Nidoking, they will receive a special sticker from the staff. The raids run every 90 minutes from 4pm on Weekdays and 11am on Weekends

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Battle Competition
Battles for the next Battle Competition has begun. This is the Ultra Sinnoh Classic competition. This is a Single Battle competition using rules where players can only use Pokémon that were in the Sinnoh Pokédex. No Alola Forms, Mega Stones or Z-Crystals are allowed. Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus are banned. All Pokémon will be raised to Level 50 for the duration of the competition. Battles run from February 23rd through February 25th. All entrants will get the 50 Battle Points.

It has been confirmed that the codes for Heatran and Regigigas for the March part of the Legendary event is to be sent through the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter in North America via Serial Code (you need to sign up by March 1st), and Nintendo Network in Europe from March 1st to March 24th. Like Dialga & Palkia, they differ between games with Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon's being Level 100 with a Gold Bottle Cap and Sun & Moon's being Level 60. The special Gym Cup, the Dark Gym Cup has begun in Pokémon Duel. This Gym Cup increases the movement of Dark-type figures and increases the White & Gold Attacks of Fairy-type Pokémon by 20. Within this, you can get the special Honchkrow figure. It runs until February 26th 2018

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Battle Competition
Registration for the next Battle Competition has begun. This is the Ultra Sinnoh Classic competition. This is a Single Battle competition using rules where players can only use Pokémon that were in the Sinnoh Pokédex. No Alola Forms, Mega Stones or Z-Crystals are allowed. Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus are banned. All Pokémon will be raised to Level 50 for the duration of the competition. Registration runs from February 15th 2018 to February 22nd 2018. Battles will run from February 23rd through February 25th. All entrants will get the 50 Battle Points.

Originally set to end at time of writing, due to issues with the Pokémon GO servers today, the Valentine's Day event which featured increased spawns for Luvdisc & Chansey and triple stardust when you capture them has been extended by a further 24 hours, now set to end at 21:00 UTC tomorrow, February 16th. In addition to this, to celebrate the Lunar New Year, you will also receive higher stardust when catching Eevee, Poochyena, Growlithe, Snubbull and Electrike until February 17th

The smartphone game, Pokémon Duel, has had a new update. This patch takes it to version 5.0.9 and requires 247MB of space on your mobile device to download. It is required to update in order to play the game

The first images from CoroCoro have leaked and have revealed the latest news on Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. As always, do note that translations are preliminary while we work on them.
In this issue, it has announced that a Shiny Poipole is to be distributed in Japan to Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon from March 2nd through April 9th via a Serial Code. This Poipole is obtained by going to a participating store and showing them your copy of the game, after which you will receive the Serial Code. We'll bring more as it comes

The latest update to Pokémon Shuffle has come and includes many brand new stages for the 3DS version. We're currently working through them and will be adding them to our Location page and our Pokémon Listings so keep checking back. In addition to that, Pokémon Shuffle Mobile has added more stages, once again bringing it in line with the 3DS version

A few brand new challenges have begun on Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Shuffle Mobile.
First is a new stage featuring Roserade (Winking). This stage will run until February 20th 2018
Next there is a new Pokémon Safari which includes returning Pokémon of Grubbin, Charjabug, Vikavolt, Crabrawler, Crabominable, Caterpie, Metapod & Butterfree, with the additions of Yungoos, Gumshoos. It runs until February 27th
Next is a Mega Banette competitive stage. This is a competitive stage that runs until February 20th 2018.
Finally, the Mew, Litten, Decidueye, Deoxys Attack Forme, Accelgor, Typhlosion and Pikachu (Enamored) stages have begun a repeat run

It commands plants to immobilize its foes and then deals them a savage blow with its horns. It makes ringing sounds with its tail to let others know where it is, avoiding unneeded conflicts. The 20 new Pokémon have gone live in Pokémon GO. These Pokémon are Taillow, Swellow, Wingull, Pelipper, Surskit, Masquerain, Volbeat, Illumise, Swablu, Altaria, Castform, Tropius, Chimecho, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Beldum, Metang & Metagross, leaving the Clamperl line, Nincada line, Spinda and Kecleon unaccounted for, outside of Legendary Pokémon. With this, only Hoenn Pokémon are set to spawn until Tuesday February 13th and Rayquaza has begun spawning in Raid Battles.
There are also now new Special Boxes available for purchase on the shop.

The next special Group Match has begun on Pokkén Tournament DX.Until February 12th you can participate in the Psyfirecracker Group Match. This cup is a Basic Battle competition, once again on a Fixed Battle Arena. Participating in this brings a special title reward based on Braixen, and if you place highly you'll get other titles based on your placement.

It has been confirmed that more Hoenn Pokémon will begin appearing from tomorrow in the evening in Europe, afternoon in the US, & morning of Saturday in Japan and Australia. These include various Flying-type Pokémon and Dragon-type Pokémon including the Salamence line, Metagross line, Altaria line, Chimecho, Pelipper line and Swellow line, touted as the final wave of Hoenn Pokémon. In addition to this, the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza will start appearing in Raid Battles until March 16th. Until February 13th, the Hoenn Pokémon will also have increased spawns, with only Generation 3 Pokémon appearing during the time. In addition to this, starting February 9, new special boxes–which include Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces–will be available in the in-game store until February 23. In addition, Lure Modules will remain activated for six hours until February 23! .

The fourth Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Global Mission has begun. This Global Mission's theme is to Harvest PokéBeans. The goal is to reach 30,000,000 PokéBeans by February 19th at 23:59 UTC. If the mission is a success, then participating players get 2,000 FC or 4,000 FC if they have a Global Link account tied to their game while if it's a failure players will get 1,000 FC or 2,000 FC if they have a Global Link account tied to their game.

For those of you in many countries, the Dialga & Palkia event has begun. This event gives a Palkia to Sun and Ultra Sun and a Dialga to Moon and Ultra Moon. In Sun & Moon, these are Level 60 while in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon they are Level 100 and hold Gold Bottle Caps. This is the first month in a year long campaign giving away the version exclusive Legendary Pokémon. It runs until February 28th 2018.
In the US & Ireland, you can get codes at Gamestop until February 28th
In Canada & Australia, you can get codes at EBGames until February 28th

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
To coincide with the opening of the new Pokémon Center in Tokyo, Pokémon Center Tokyo DX, two distributions have been announced. First, only at the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX, from March 14th to April 22nd you can receive a Snorlax that knows the move Sunny Day. In addition to that, at the same time at all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan, you can receive a Pikachu that holds a Lemonade to celebrate the opening of the Pokémon Café in the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX building. Further details of this event have yet to be announced but we'll post when we get them

Pokémon International Championships
Stream details have been announced for the Pokémon Oceania International Championships in Sydney next week. The streams all run for all three games with commentators across the weekend. The VGC commentators are Aaron “Cybertron” Zheng, Ray Rizzo, Duy Ha & Adam Dorricott. The TCG commentators are Kyle “Pooka” Sucevich, Kyle Sabelhaus, Ross Gilbert & Ellis Longhurst and Pokkén Tournament DX's commentators are D'Ron “D1” Maingrette, Michael “H2” Graf, Brendan “Burnside” Hansen

Today marks the release of the fifth Pokémon Sun & Moon TCG set. This set contains 173 cards of various Pokémon that inhabit the Sinnoh Region including various Pokémon-GX with the introduction of Necrozma. It is made up of the GX Battle Boost, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon packs from Japan. Our card listing and the associated Cardex have been updated with the details of this set

Pokémon - 3DS Themes
Following their release in Japan last week, two new Nintendo 3DS themes will be available in North America at 09:00 ET/06:00 PT.
The first is Pokémon: Team Plasma (BW) which features artwork of N, Ghetsis, the sages & Genesect with the Battle! Team Plasma music from Black & White
Next is Pokémon: Team Plasma (B2W2) which features artwork of N, Ghestis, Colress and other Team Plasma members. It has the Battle Team Plasma music from Black 2 & White 2. Both can be purchased for 200¥. C
There is currently no sign of European release
Edit: At this time, despite Nintendo America saying they'd be released, they have not been added yet. We'll post when they get added

The smartphone game, Pokémon Duel, has had a new update. This patch takes it to version 5.0.8 and requires 247MB of space on your mobile device to download. It is required to update in order to play the game
This patch contains various brand new figures.

A Japanese TV guide has revealed a new episode title for an upcoming episode of the anime. This episode is due to air on February 22nd 2018 and features Ash entering a Battle Royal to take on the famous trainer, the Masked Royal
