Booster Packs |
Booster Packs are the main element of the game. Here is where you get 5 cards per booster pack and you can open up 2 Booster Packs a day for free, one refreshes every 12 hours, or a third with a separate 24 hour countdown if you have paid for the subscription. However, you have the ability to get more by using Pack Hourglasses, which reduce the wait time by an hour, or Poké Gold which reduce the wait time by 2 hours per Gold. When you select the booster packs, you can open based on Expansion and then one of several different pack designs. The cards you get vary based on the pack design and the packs show the offering rates for each card that you can get within them ahead of time. When opening packs, you will soometimes hear a sound like a metal clink. This indicates you have got a rare card in it, but not all packs with rare cards in make this noise. In addition to that, some packs will release a shine indicating they have a 2 Star or higher card in it. There is also a 0.05% chance of getting a "Rare Pack". These packs will give you cards of a Star Rarity or higher, with all cards being equally distributed in rate. |
Pack Points |
As you open packs, you will receive Experience and Shinedust, but you will also get Pack Points, a unique currency that you can only get by opening packs. For each pack you open, you will get 5 Pack Points and these points can be exchanged for cards so even if you don't pull the card you desire, you can purchase it using these Pack Points, even if you haven't had it before
