Pokémon Pikachu 2

Japan Release Date: November 21st 1999
US Release Date: October 16th 2000
Battery: CR2032
Shell Variants: 6

Just like the previous Pokémon Pikachu pedometer, the objective of the device is to take Pikachu walking. The more you walk the more Watts you will earn. You can then use the Watts by giving them to Pikachu as a gift, transfer them to a friend's Pokémon Pikachu Color, or transfer them to Pokémon Gold/Silver on Game Boy Color. The more Watts you give Pikachu, the more your friendship will grow.

Shells

There are six different variants of Pokémon Pikachu Color. However they all perform the same, and the change is just cosmetic.

There were four different shells released for this device in Japan.
The standard release was a see through shell with 'Pocket Pikachu' and 'Color' on the screen, and white buttons.
Silver/white 'Pearl' shell with a Pikachu silhouette. Sold at Pokémon Centers.
Clear blue shell sold at Ito Yokado 7-11 edition
A solid 'Italian blue' shell with white buttons was limited edition sold at "Halomac"

In Europe was similar to the Japanese release with 'Pocket Pikachu' and 'Color' on the screen, transparent, but it had black buttons. It also had a different Pikachu silhouette to the Japanese shell.

The USA release of the device was produced with new text, 'GS' and 'Pokémon Pikachu 2'. It also has the same Pikachu silhouette as the European model. The shell is silver with a sparkle effect.
