Within the programme on the Japanese channel NHK, called The Professionals, in a special episode focusing on The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekaz Ishihara, a new game was showcased. They first showcased some images of a beta version of a sequel to Pokémon Trozei. It's currently unclear on the status of this game. Still more to come so keep checking back
Edit @ 13:33: They're working on a detective game featuring Pikachu as a partner. This game has an alleged development cycle of 2 years, with release expected in 2015. The Pikachu is being controlled via motion capture and facial recognition

Pokémon X & Y - Coverage Day 2
With many parts of Spain getting their copies tomorrow, Japan getting copies tomorrow and retailers across the world sending copies of the game out, it would be remiss of us to hold off until launch when so many of you hunger for information. As such, our usual discoveries shall begin. As usual, I'll be posting the main focal points here, while more in-depth details go on the discovery thread on the forums (including some details I won't post here). However, due to the worldwide launch and the irregularities that have occurred in the past two weeks across the internet, it will be slightly different. Out of respect for Nintendo, we shall not be posting story spoilers until after Saturday. If you want to remain unspoiled, do not click the spoiler tag, nor visit the XY section until you have your game. We hope to have preliminary Pokédex information up this weekend so keep checking back

First off, I have updated the New Pokémon Page with details on all the Pokémon and direct feed pictures for most of them, with more pictures to come.
Edit @ 15:54: Updated the Kalos Pokédex Page
Edit @ 16:23: Preliminary Version Exclusive Page updates
19:06: Created a preliminary Gym Leader page
21:24: Updated the Pokémon form page
22:31: Updated the Gift Pokémon page
23:06: Created a page on New Battle Styles
As usual, pertinent information will be posted into the spoiler tag X & Y Details:
To start off, Jigglypuff and the Gothita line have got a new ability called Competitive, which boosts its Special Attack stat when one of their stats is lowered. Kecleon has a new ability called Protean that changes the Pokémon's type to the type of the move it just used. The latter is demonstrated in a new kind of battles "Inverse Battles" where the type effectiveness is inversed. This is only done in Route 18 against a Psychic. It's a daily battle
Game Locations Vaniville Town Aquacorde Town Santalune Forest Santalune City Lumiose City Camphrier Town Parfum Palace Connecting Cave Cyllage City Ambrette Town Glittering Cave Geosenge Town Reflection Cave Shalour City Courmaline City Sea Spirit's Den Kalos Power Plant Laverre City Poke Ball Factory Lost Hotel Dendemille Town Frost Cavern Anistar City Couriway Town Terminus Cave Snowbelle City Pokemon Village Victory Road Chamber of Emptiness Pokemon League Kiloude City Flare Cafe Team Flare HQ Azure Bay Kalos Battle Chateau Battle Maison Tower of Mastery
12:49: Weakness Policy: When held, it sharply increases the holder's Attack and Special Attack when it is hit by a move that is Super Effective
Assault Vest: When held, it raises Special Defense, but prevents the user from using Status moves
Safety Goggles: When held, this protects the holder from weather damage and powder moves
Ability Capsule (Costs 200BP): Switches between the Primary and Secondary abilities on the Pokémon
12:55: Xerneas has two forms, merely appearance changes. One, the one we know, is in battle, the other is somewhat diluted and is how it appears outside of battle
Friend Safari is located in the post-game. In it, it takes everyone on your friend list and makes them a specific type. When selected, Pokémon of that type appear (it'll take a while to catalogue, please bear with us). The Pokémon found here can have their Hidden Abilities. Unlike the Safari Zone, however, you can battle and use your own balls.
13:44: You can get give the Poké Radar later in the game
14:05: Legendary wise, the legendary birds of Kanto roam around Kalos, but seemingly flee before the menu even loads up. Will investigate further. Mewtwo is found in Pokemon Village 16:50: Froakie's Hidden Ability is Protean. Weather abilities such as Drought, Drizzle etc. now only last 5 turns. In the Battle Maison, there are four leaders, each one specialising in one of the four standard battles (Sky and Inverse are not included). Will try and get up to a 21 streak at a later point to grab their teams
21:30: It seems Pokémon in Hordes also have a chance of having their Hidden Ability
22:49: Hordes can be triggered more often with things such as Honey, Sweet Scent etc. Considering they often have Pokémon that can't be found anywhere else, or with their Hidden Abilities, it's a good way to go
23:13: Some move changes: Thunderbolt is now 90 Power, not 95. As is Flamethrower, Surf & Ice Beam. Thunder, Blizzard, Hurricane, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump are now 110 Power, now 120. I believe this one has been leaked, Hidden Power now has set damage of 60, rather than fluctuating based on IVs. Moonlight, Sweet Kiss & Charm are Fairy-type. Will-O-Wisp's accuracy has been increased to 85%

Today marks the one hundred & fourty-fourth entry into the Generation V competitive field with a Unova Pokémon. These entries are created by the visitors for the visitors and then compiled by our writers Miror, KingTorterra & Tai. To get involved, Click here for the discussion forum. Today, we are covering a Pokémon introduced in the fifth generation. It fights by swinging around its three spiky feelers. A hit from these steel spikes can reduce a boulder to rubble. They attach themselves to cave ceilings, firing steel spikes at targets passing beneath them. By swinging around its three spiky feelers and shooting spikes, it can obliterate an opponent. So here it is, the one hundred & fourty-fourth entry, Ferrothorn.

Pokémon X & Y - Download Pokémon
The official site has updated and given details on how to receive event Pokémon. This process runs similar to previous games with you selecting Mystery Gift and then selecting the appropriate option. However, the details have provided a new method of obtaining event Pokémon. In addition to Local Wireless, Nintendo Network Download and InfraRed, the game also lists a new method of downloading: Serial Codes. Presumably this will run akin to the Serial Codes on the Global Link within Generation V. You can also have up to 24 Wonder Cards before having to make room for a new event.
Events are also locked to the console & game's region, rather than the game's language so if you're playing a Japanese game in English, you will only receive Japanese events but Japanese games in English cannot receive North American events and vice versa. As a reminder, the Torchic event will be live online for all regions from October 12th to January 15th.
