A longstanding tradition in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games are Traps. Traps are tiles on the floor that have various effects. Sometimes these are visible from the outset, other times they are hidden. You're able to see the hidden Traps with the Goggle Specs and See-Trap Orb and with the Trap Scarf you'll be immune to the effects of them. The Trap Burst Orb will destroy all the traps on the ground. In addition to that, sometimes the floor will be defused and traps will not go off. This often happens during rain. |

 | Big Blast Trap | Stepping on this trap causes a huge blast within 3 squares, doing significant damage |
 | Blast Trap | Stepping on this trap causes a blast in the surrounding tiles, doing decent damage |
 | Grimy Trap | If the leader steps on this trap, some food in the Toolbox will become Grimy Food. If a Pokémon other than the leader steps on this trap, the food it's holding will become Grimy Food |
 | Grudge Trap | Stepping on this trap causes enemy Pokémon on the floor to arrive near you and hold a Grudge. The PP of moves you use on these Pokémon will go to 0 |
 | Gust Trap | Stepping on this trap sends you flying in a random direction, doing 5 damage when you impact a wall or other Pokémon. If you hit another Pokémon, it also does 5 damage to them |
 | Hunger Trap | Stepping on this trap lowers your Belly by 10 |
 | Mud Trap | Stepping on this trap shartply lowers one of your stats |
 | Poison Trap | Stepping on this trap makes you Poisoned |
 | Pokémon Trap | Stepping on this trap transforms nearby items on the ground into enemy Pokémon |
 | PP Leech Trap | Stepping on this trap lowers the PP of one of your moves to 0 |
 | Random Trap | Stepping on this trap has a random effect on your party. This turns the trap into any other trap |
 | Seal Trap | Stepping on this trap seals one move so you can't use it until restored |
 | Slow Trap | Stepping on this trap lowers your Travel Speed |
 | Slumber Trap | Stepping on this trap makes you Sleep for a while |
 | Spikes | Stepping on this trap drops Spikes on you, causing 25 damage |
 | Spiky Trap | Stepping on this trap drops Spikes on you, causing 25 damage |
 | Spin Trap | Stepping on this trap makes you Confused |
 | Stealth Rock | If you step on this trap, you'll take Rock-type damage |
 | Sticky Trap | If the leader steps on this trap, an item in the Toolbox becomes Sticky and cannot be used. If a Pokémon other than the leader steps on this trap, their hold item becomes sticky. This can be removed with the Cleanse Orb or by leaving the dungeon |
 | Summon Trap | Stepping on this trap causes a group of enemy Pokémon to appear around you |
 | Toxic Spikes | Stepping on this trap makes you Poisoned |
 | Training Switch | Stepping on this switch causes all your Teammates to get the Trained condition which inreases the amount their moves level up |
 | Trip Trap | Stepping on this trap makes you drop 1 or more items from your Toolbox |
 | Warp Trap | Stepping on this trap warps you to somewhere else on the floor |
 | Wonder Tile | Stepping on this tile resets your stats |
