Punching Move Elements
In Generation III, a new element was introduced called Punching Moves. These moves were moves that basically were punches, and could be boosted by certain abilities. These moves typically make physical contact

Extra Effects By Punching Moves
There are some other elements to Punching Moves now. First, the ability Iron Fist will increase the power of punching moves by 20%.
Next, as of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet & Shield, there is an item that powers up punching based moves by 10% and has the added effect of preventing moves from activiating any effect that activates by making physical contact such as Poison Point, Rough Skin etc.
