Like previous games, Ranger: Guardian Signs has a variety of special Boss Pokémon. These Pokémon have a massive amount of Hit Points and even start the Rage condition half way through the match which prolongs the battle, causes you to have to use more assists to defeat them, and increases the power of their attacks. The Boss Pokémon cannot follow you around after capture and are for the most part rebattleable at the special Dolce Island replacement at the end of the game. Below is a list of all the Boss Pokémon
R-057 Celebi | |
Location: Renbow Island - Cocona Village The first boss you'll encounter is early on in Cocona Village. You'll be notified of something happening near the shrine and you'll see Celebi. Celebi has a variety of attacks including the traditional Razor Leaf and Frenzy Plant attacks. It's best to bring a bug Pokémon from Creak Forest in to assist you |

Location: Renbow Island - Wireless Tower After chasing Raikou and the Pokémon Pinchers outside of Yasuri cave, you'll follow through to the Wireless Tower where you hear they are taking residence. Climb up to the top and you will see that the Pokémon Pinchers are trying to take Raikou. Raikou will quickly challenge you. It has a variety of thunder attacks including a sparks around it, dropping sparks on the floor and causing massive thunder. It would be advisable to bring a Pokémon such as Gligar with you for its assist. Capture it and you'll get its Ranger Sign and can call on it at any time |

Location: Mitonga Island - Old Mansion When you get to the basement of the Old Mansion, you will find a Napper Executive, Blue Eye is here. First you will get challenged by a Chikorita and Bayleef, but shortly after that, you will be attacked with a Meganium. Meganium has many attacks similar to other Grass Pokémon such as Frenzy Plant which drops spiked plants on the ground that damage you and powerful attacks such as Solar Beam at its disposal. It's best to have a Bug or Flying Pokémon with you for this battle. |

Location: Mitonga Island - Daybreak Ruins After you have defeated the Old Mansion, you will need to go to Daybreak Ruins. Fight through all the areas and you'll find Red Eye is trying to capture the Entei who dwells within the area. Entei will soon challenge you. It has many powerful attacks such as Fire Blast which fills the floor with fire and Flamethrower. As there are few Water Pokémon nearby, try and bring Ground or Rock Pokémon for the ultimate Assistance. Capture it and you'll get its Ranger Sign and can call on it at any time |

Location: Offshore Mitonga Island - Submarine Now you have Entei, you will be able to go along the Dangerous Cliff. Rush through there with Entei & Raikou and you will eventually land on the Submarine. Follow it to the end where Blu Eye will challenge you with a Feraligatr. Feraligatr has numerous water attacks like Hydro Pump and can make water droplets appear on the ground. |

Location: The Sky After the Pokémon Pinchers have attempted to get Moltres and it flies off, a Charizard will soon fly over. You will quickly go to the sky with Staraptor and Charizard will challenge you. Unlike the other boss fights, since it is in the sky you cannot use and Pokémon Assists. As well as that, Charizard cannot make contact with your line without using an attack so circling it is easy. It has a variety of fire attacks such as Flamethrower and it also quickly zooms through the screen dropping flames as it goes |

Location: Sophian Island - Canal Ruins After going underwater in the Canal Ruins, you'll come up and see that Suicune is being attacked by the Pokémon Pinchers. Like the others, their tricks wont work and Suicune will eventually challenge you. Suicune has a variety of attacks such as dropping Ice blocks down, using Ice Beam and having pillars of water surround it. Capture it and you'll get its Ranger Sign and can call on it at any time |

Location: Sophian Island - Sorbelas Moutain Next, when you climb Sorbelas Moutain and reach Articuno's nest, the Pokémon Pinchers will be there once again trying to capture the Pokémon. This time, the executive will use a Typhlosion against you. Typhlosion, like other fire Pokémon uses Flamethrower. However, in addition to that, it also creates explosions surrounding it that causes massive damage. Ground Pokémon, Rock & Water Pokémon are your best bet here |

Location: Sophian Island - Oblivia Ruins When you climb through the Oblivia Ruins, you will once again be challenged by another executive whom is trying to combine the power of Articuno, Zapdos & Moltres. He will attack you with the Dragon Pokémon Garchomp. Garchomp has powerful Slash attacks and can also cause Earthquakes so you best be prepared with some Ice Pokémon. |

R-278 Latias & R-279 Latios | |
Location: The Sky The next Boss Pokémon is obtained after you have turned on the five beacons in Tilikule Monument, Dolce Island, Faldera Volcano, Undersea Cavern and Sobiana Road. Once these have been activated, return to Tilikule Monument and you will see them fly up. Latios if you selected the Male Ranger to play, Latias if you selected the female Ranger. Follow them and they will challenge you. They are fought in the air so you won't have to worry aobut them making contact other than with attacks. Their main attack features them shooting out energy balls across the screen. On certain occassions, they will fly off the screen and come back, dropping a load of Energy Balls in their wake. Capture it and you'll get its Ranger Sign and can call on it at any time You can capture the other one after completing the game and a Ranger's Quest. Go to Tilikule Monument and you'll see one of the Rangers from the past and she will inform you of Latias & Latios' relationship. The other one will appear and you can battle them in the sky. Their attacks are the same. |

Location: Layuda Island - Mt. Layuda Next, at the top of Mt. Layuda, you will see the Pokémon Pinchers trying to capture Zapdos. The guards there will set on you with two Magneton & a Magnezone, followed by two Luxray and then the final boss, Metagross. This boss is extremely hard as Metagross shoots many energy beams out. After rage has set in, these beams encompass the entire screen so you won't likely be able to have a Recharging Pokémon out. It also creates metal balls to surround it. Ground Pokémon such as Gliscor are your best bet here. |

R-287 Ho-Oh | |
Location: West Sea - Western Pillar After you have gone to the West Sea and raised the Pillar up, Ho-Oh will appear and challenge you. It, like other Fire Pokémon knows Fire Blast, but its trick is to shoot sever Fire Blasts out consecutively in order to maximise damage. In addition to that, it will sometimes fly off screen and come back with a wave of flames. If you have brought any Water Pokémon with you, it will be handy here. It will give you its Ranger Sign after battling and if you return here and use it, will rechallenge you. |

Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress At the top of the Sky Fortress, you will have to battle through three of the top executives of the Pokémon Pinchers. At the west exit you will find one who likes to pretend to be other trainers/people to confuse them, Kasa. With that in mind, she challenges you with a Ditto. Ditto is a tricky Pokémon as it transforms into Raikou at the start of battle. After 33% of its life has been taken, it transforms into Entei and then at the end, into Suicune. The attacks of Ditto at that time are identical to the attacks of those Pokémon earlier. However, you need to bring a wide variety of Pokémon to assist you here. |

Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress The next executive you fight, Hocus, is on the right and is the master of illusions. He turns the room into a massive cloud area and hides Pichu from you, needing you to get it back. Once done, go to the next room and he shall challenge you with an enlarged Crobat. This battle is done in the sky so you don't have to worry about contact except with attacks. As Crobat is a Poison type, it will continually send out Poison Gas clouds, some in front of it, some surrounding it so be prepared for both. |

Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress The top and final executive, Arley has the legendary Pokémon Regigigas. Like in the previous Ranger game, Regigigas is difficult to capture as when it walks, it creates a shockwave which does damage To make things worse, after Rage mode, the shockwaves get bigger. In addition to that, it drops loads of rocks down onto the arena as its attack. To get the most damage, it is best to use Pokémon with projectile assists such as Gabite's Dragon Asssist and Ukulele Pichu is always handy in this match. |

R-293 Mewtwo | |
Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress The final boss in the air fortress is the Genetic Pokémon Mewtwo. The Societea leader, Dr. Edward, will awaken it and set it on youMewtwo has a variety of attacks at its disposal including sending out Psychic waves and energy balls. Your best bet here is Dark Pokémon such as Weavile and Houndoom as they manage to get a significant amount of damage through. After you defeat it for the first time, Purple Eyes will appear and enhance it so it has a massive aura surrounding it that does damage if you touch it. To make things worse, Mewtwo's attacks have been boosted in damage and quantity so you need to make sure your Styler is up when it attacks. However, the same strategy with the Dark Pokémon will work wonders here. |

Location: Offshore Mironda Island - The Union After you have beaten the game and obtained all 300 Pokémon in your Browser, you can go to Rand's House to get a mission. It seems the Pokémon Pinchers have lost control of a situation in the Undersea Cavern and would like you to assist. Down in the cave you will find Blue Eye. Follow her out of the cave and when you return to the boat, Lugia will challenge you. Lugia's primary attacks are a Hyper Beam and gusts of wind, but after it rages on, it will have added attacks of water cyclones and zooming off and on the screen in a drill form. When captured, you will get its Ranger Sign which will allow you to rebattle it at will. |

S-001 Heatran | |
Location: Faldera Island - Faldera Volcano In the Investigate the Odd Eruption! WiFi mission, you will end up battling Heatran at the top of the Volcano after Murph enlists you to help investigate the reason for eruptions on the Volcano. Heatran will challenge you after leading you up to Moltres' nest. Heatran will send small bolts of magma out as well as large fire balls. After it rages, it will start creating massive lava pools on the floor and will then send balls of rock into the air which will fall down all over the stage causing damage. There are numerous Pokémon with helpful assists as you travel up the volcano such as Golem, Donphan and Tyranitar so you should not have any issues with it. Capture it and the mission is complete When captured, you will gain the ability to send the Heatran over to your Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver games. |

S-002 Shaymin (Land Forme) | |
Location: Renbow Island - Latolato Trail In the Rescue the Lost Shaymin! WiFi mission, you will need to chase down a Shaymin that ran away after you found it at Rand's House. After finding it, it will go to the Flower Garden in Latolato Trail and start singing happily. You decide to take it back to Rand's House so go to challenge it. It creates small Frenzy Plants everywhere and creates small shockwaves around it. Nearby, there are Ledyba and even a Torchic that will assist in the capture of Shaymin. Capture it and the Pokémon Pinchers will appear. |

S-002 Shaymin (Sky Forme) | |
Location: The Sky When the Pokémon Pinchers appear, Shaymin will turn into its Sky Forme and fly off with the Pokémon Pinchers in hot pursuit. They will cause a sky chase with you needing to survive their massive onslaught of Energy Balls. Should you survive, Shaymin, while startled will come in and challenge you. It has an Air Slash style attack where it shoots multiple slices out and an attack where it sends out a circle of leaves around it. Finally, it will make a small shockwave around it that will damage your styler. Capture it and Shaymin will be cheered up and the mission will end. When captured, you will gain the ability to send the Shaymin over to your Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver games. |

S-003 Giratina (Altered Forme) | |
Location: Sophian Island - Oblivia Ruins In the Find Giratina's Griseous Orb! WiFi mission, you will go to Oblivia Ruins with Leira. There are numerous Pokémon around to capture so go around and capture the ones you feel will be helpful such as Umbreon and Gengar. Go to the main room with Leira. Giratina will appear and challenge you in its Altered Forme. It will create some ghostly balls on the ground that can interefre. It also has an attack that sends out these balls towards you. Another attack it has involves it sending out small beams of dark energy around the arena. Avoiding these beams should be relatively simple. Capture it and the mission will begin as Leira will explain it is looking for the Griseous Orb, found somewhere in the ruins |

Location: Sophian Island - Oblivia Ruins After you have gone through the ruins and found the key to the room with the Griseous Orb, you will need to return to the room you previously faced Giratina in. Leira will give the Griseous Orb to Giratina and it will challenge you. Like the Altered Form, it will place down several ghostly balls on the ground. One of its attacks will send a massive wave of these balls across the arena. After it rages, it will begin shooting out small projectiles of blue flames that will cause significant damage if they hit. Capture it and the mission will end. |

Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress In the Pledge to Arceus mission, you'll be sent to the various observational rooms to capture the three dragons. In the left room, you will find the Pokémon Giratina, in its Origin Forme. There are many ghost Pokémon in the area before it so be sure to capture it. Like the previous time you battled it, it will place down several ghostly balls on the ground. One of its attacks will send a massive wave of these balls across the arena. After it rages, it will begin shooting out small projectiles of blue flames that will cause significant damage if they hit. Capture it and the mission will end. |

S-004 Dialga | |
Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress Go to the top room and you'll discover Dialga. Dialga will quickly disappear and bring a variety of Pokémon here. You must get to them within a minute and capture them all and get to the room with Dialga in. It will challenge you as soon as you enter the room. Dialga has varied attacks including a motional Hyper Beam. It will also send out loads of small energy projectiles. Once it rages, it will sometimes teleport to the middle, draw power and send a few massive shockwaves through the arena. It will also send out multiple Hyper Beams and a massive wave of projectiles out. |

S-005 Palkia | |
Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress Go to the right hand room and Palkia will be there. Like the Pokémon Napper admin before, it will change the room to a cloud style. Should you fall, you will land back in Rand's house. Go downstairs and you'll end up back in the Sky Fortress. Get to the end of the cloud maze and you'll challenge Palkia. His attacks include making two energy balls surround him. Like the other two Pokémon, it will send out multiple projectile flames at once. Once it rages, it will sometimes teleport to the middle of the screen and send in a massive amount of energy beams from all directions. |

S-006 Arceus | |
Location: Oblivia Region - Sky Fortress Head back to the main observation deck and Arceus will come down and show you about its mistreatment in the past. Purple Eyes will then appear and try to calm Arceus, but Arceus soon attempts to hit Purple Eye with lightning. You will try to capture it, but suffere the same fate. However, the three dragons soon appear and calm Arceus down and so you can now capture it. Its attacks are similar to its attacks in the past mission. it will create three energy balls to surround it to help hinder your progress at capturing. It will also send out a multitude of energy balls against you and will call down many energy beams from the ceiling to hit you. These beams will either be sent out in a wave or will just fall down around Arceus. After it has raged, it will also have an attack that will send massive meteors down onto the arena causing catastrophic damage if they hit. Capture it and the mission is over. |
