Favorites

With each Pokémon, they have a certain set of favorite things. Every item in the game fits in to several of these categories.

When a Pokémon has a favorite, it can impact things heavily. First, if you give them an item that matches it, then it will increase their friendship with you at a higher level. If you also decorate their home or habitat with these items, then they will also have their Comfy Level increase at a higher rate. You will notice this as it puts down a bigger sparkle when you put it down on the floor in their home.

Finally, there's another element, specifically for Pokémon with the Trade Specialty. If you have an item that matches their likes when you go to trade with them, it has a 50% increase in its worth to the Pokémon.
