Painting

Once you reach Bleak Beach, you will be able to meet with Smearguru. Smearguru has got the unique Specialty of Paint which allows for it to paint various items. Throughout the game, a number of the items you receive will be able to be customised using a variety of paint. Paint can be obtained by having a Pokémon with the Crush specialty crush berries, or by purchasing it in the shop

You can also buy paint balloons in the shop and craft them in order to be able to throw the paint at the items in question yourself.

Some items can also be painted in two different parts rather than just one allowing for you to mix and match with colours how you see fit.

There are 18 different colours you can paint things in.

In addition to paint, some items will be able to have specific patterns painted on. While Smearguru will know some patterns from the beginning, you'll be able to find 22 more patterns as you travel through Dream Islands.

These patterns require a larger amount of paint and will typically only go on the fabric areas of any given item.
