Location: Hau'oli City, Royal Avenue, Malie City

In three areas of Alola, there are special Malasada restaurants. These restaurants will offer the service of creating a special Malasada for you to feed your Pokémon. There are multiple different varieties of Malasada and each restaurant only sells a specific set. However, the Malasada don't increase happiness. Instead, they increase the Affection that you can accrue within Pokémon Refresh.

Like Berries in previous generations, Malasada come with a separate taste and each Pokémon likes a different taste based on their Nature. If you give them a Malasada that matches their nature, their affection will grow a lot. If you give them one they're neutral on, it will grow a decent amount and if you give them one they dislike it will still grow, but by 1 heart.

Sometimes, stores will sell rare Mythical Malasadas. These meals have a massive affection yield and are liked by all Pokémon. There's no set day for these to go on sale, but interacting with a TV may alert you if there is one on the island.

Once a day, you can also purchase Big Malasada, an item which will heal Status Conditions in battle.
