Poffin

Poffin make a return in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. In these games you can create Poffin to boost a Pokémon's condition to help them in the Super Contests

Poffin that match the Favorite Food of a Pokémon will increase more of a stat. Its favourite food is shown on the Status screen and is based upon the Pokémon's nature.

For every Poffin you feed your Pokémon, its Sheen goes up. When its Sheen reaches the maximum, then it can no longer eat any Poffin so choose the Poffin wisely. The strength of the Sheen is relative to the Smoothness of a Poffin

To make a Poffin, go to the Poffin House in Hearthome City, the Amity Square or in a later update, the Union Room to do it with friends. You need to put up to 4 Berries in and then stir the mixture. If you put in more than one of the same berries, it will often come out as a Foul Poffin

Stirring is done utilising the Control Stick on the Nintendo Switch controller/JoyCons. You need to do it quick enough that the mixture doesn't burn, but slow enough that it doesn't spill out of the pot. The rule of thumb is to not stir rapidly at the start, but to get progressively faster as you continue onwards

When the Poffin is created, it will have a Level. This Level is highest based on the success of your Poffin creation, as well as the ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the Level.

It will tell you how long you spent on the Poffin, how often it overflowed and how often it burned.

This is all then utilised in calculating the level of the Poffin, which factors in the main flavour, any bad flavours, time bonus and more.
