Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO events for May 2020.
First, the Research Breakthrough Reward has been announced. From May 1st 2020 at 20:00 UTC to June 1st 2020 at 20:00 UTC you'll get a Shinx which gives bonus Shinx Candy.
Niantic have also announced the Spotlight Hours for May
May 5th: Shellder will be available with 2* Catch Stardust
May 12th: Sunkern will be available with 2* Catch Experience
May 19th: Poochyena will be available with 2* Catch Candy
May 26th: Bronzor will be available with 2* Transfer Candy
Niantic have also confirmed that from May through September, there will be no new Team GO Rocket Special Research

The latest event is now live in Pokémon Masters. This event, Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings is a Legendary Event that introduces the Sync Pair of Silver & Ho-Oh. Alongside this, a Spotlight Scout introducing Wallace & Milotic is also running. These run until May 14th 2020.
In addition to this, the Battle Villa has been refreshed and has more stages to complete including a battle with Darach at the end

GO Battle League Season 2 has been announced by Niantic. This will run from May 1st but with a change. It has a new Premier Cup which will run with Master League. This cup prevents use of Mythical and Legendary Pokémon but has no CP cap.
Great League will run from May 1st through May 25th
Ultra League will run from May 25th through June 15th
Master League and Premier Cup will run from June 15th through June 29th
All leagues will run from June 29th to July 6th.
Finally, Season 3 will begin on July 6th at 20:00 UTC
In addition to this, they've announced some tweaks to rewards with Stunfisk at Rank 4, Rufflet at Rank 8, Scraggy at Rank 9 and an avatar pose at Rank 10. In addition to that, the ordering of rewards has changed so you will get an encounter on Win 3 on the standard track and Win 1 on the Premium Track.
You'll also get an Elite Fast TM at the end of the season if you're Rank 7 or above. Pikachu Libre is still a Rank 10 reward
There is also some changes to moves in Trainer Battles. Drill Run requires less energy to charge
Moonblast requires less energy to charge and does less damage but has a chance to lower the opponent's Attack
Wild Charge's energy requirement has been reduced but damage increased. It also lowers the user's Defense
Trainer Battles can now be done with QR Codes regardless of friendship level or distance. You can also send challenges to Good Friends and higher regardless of sitance as of the start of Season 2

Niantic have announced that Volbeat and Illumise have now swapped locations in Pokémon GO. Since launch, they haven't moved out of their usual area except as part of events. Today, you'll now be able to find Illumise in Europe, Oceania & Asia and Volbeat in Africa and Americas

The Wild Area Event has now shifted in Pokémon Sword & Shield. With this, Garbodor, Charizard, Duraludon and Copperajah have left the boosted raids and with this, various Pokémon including Heat Rotom, Excadrill, Whimsicott and more, themed around commonly used Pokémon in competitive, have been added. This event runs until May 11th at 23:59 UTC.

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO events for the coming weeks. These are the Throwback Challenges and will run each week globally.
Throwback Challenge Kanto runs from May 1st to May 8th and features special Timed Research which ends with Mewtwo with Psystrike, Kanto Pokémon in the wild and Venonat, Machop, Onix, Lickitung, Tangela, Scyther, Pinsir, Lapras, and Eevee in 7km eggs. Pikachu wearing Charizard hats will also run. Shiny Venonat will be live with this event as will 2* Catch, Raid and Hatch XP
Throwback Challenge Johto runs from May 8th to May 15th and features special Timed Research which ends with Ho-Oh with Earthquake and has a Shiny Gyarados encounter, Johto Pokémon in the wild, Chinchou, Yanma, Girafarig, Pineco, Dunsparce, Gligar, Shuckle, Skarmory, and Phanpy in 7km eggs. Pikachu wearing Umbreon hats will also be in the wild and Shiny Dunsparce will be in the game. It has 2* Catch and Raid Stardust
Throwback Challenge Hoenn runs from May 15th to May 22nd and features special Timed Research which ends with Groudon with Fire Punch, Hoenn Pokémon in the wild, Lotad, Slakoth, Nincada, Skitty, Sableye, Mawile, Trapinch, Feebas, and Clamperl in 7km eggs. Pikachu wearing Rayquaza hats will also be in the wild and Shiny Skitty will be in the game. It has half Incubator distance and buddy distance
Throwback Challenge Sinnoh runs from May 22nd to May 29th and features special Timed Research which ends with Cresselia with Grass Knot, Sinnoh Pokémon in the wild, Cranidos, Shieldon, Glameow, Chingling, Bonsly, Happiny, Gible, Munchlax, Riolu, and Mantyke in 7km eggs. Pikachu wearing Lucario hats will also be in the wild and Shiny Glameow will be in the game. It has One Hour Star Piece, Incense and Lucky Egg durations
If you complete all four Timed Research lines, you'll get the Champion Special Research. This will contain Special Research to earn 5 Rare Candies, Galarian Meowth, Galarian Stunfisk and Genesect. Plus it has a special tie in event, the Throwback Challenge Champion Tie In From June 3rd through June 8th, it adds Galarian Stunfisk into the wild and Galarian Meowth, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Darumaka, and Galarian Stunfisk with Meowth, Zigzagoon and Darumaka able to evolve. Unova Pokémon will be in the wild

A special Remote Raid Pass box is now live in Pokémon GO for 1 Poké Coin giving 3 Remote Raid Passes. You can also buy 1 Remote Raid Pass for 100 Coins or 3 for 250 Coins. You can only hold 3 Remote Raid Passes at a time. With this, Remote Raids are now possible for Level 40 players. Players can raid any Raid on their nearby even if not by it, and they can raid at any gym for a distance that they have a Pokémon in. It'll be rolled out to lower level players as time passes

Then, Altered Forme Giratina will run until May 12th at 20:00 UTC and finally from May 12th to May 19th, Virizion will run with Shiny Virizion then available.

DeNA have put out a new update for Pokémon Masters. This update, Version 1.9 has added a variety of features. First is Eggs. Eggs will hatch after completion from a number of areas and will form a Sync Pair when hatched. More eggs are planned. You can raise affinity of Pokémon hatched from eggs to make them more powerful. This is done through Berry Tart items which will be available in a future update. The current eggs give Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle and require 5 battles to hatch. We've begun updating the Main Character Sync Pair page
There is a new Daily Scout feature at no cost to obtain various items and Sync Pairs. This is reset every day at 07:00 UTC and the Sync Pairs available will be reset periodically
You can also now change the order in which opponents will target your team members
You can now use Move Candy to level up the Sync moves of your Sync Pairs without the need to get them again in a Sync Pair Scout. Each Star Rating requires a different candy, 3 Star Move Candy, 4 Star Move Candy and 5 Star Move Candy while Pokémon hatched from Egg require Egg Move Candy

The Pokémon Company International have announced the format rotation for 2021 and will be live from August 28th 2020. This rotation includes all cards from Team Up and beyond, promos SM158 and higher as well as the promo sets Hidden Fates (except for Shiny Vault cards) and Detective Pikachu. With this, the regulation marks have now come into effect and all cards in Sword & Shield with the "D" regulation mark are usable. However, Expanded format has also been announced to be unchanged following the Black & White sets and beyond

It has been confirmed that the new anime series will be called Pokémon Journeys and will air exclusively on Netflix in the US starting from June 12th. This show focuses on Ash and a new trainer called Goh who become research fellows for Pokémon Cerise. New episodes of Pokémon Journeys will be added to Netflix in the US every quarter of the year.

The next features have been announced for Pokémon Masters for April and May.
After the update, you'll be able to select an Egg for Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle and develop a new Sync Pair with your main character. In the future, more eggs including those for Scyther, Meowth and Tauros will be released
The next Legendary event will focus on Ho-Oh. This event adds a "Prize Box", a new item that lets you select Prize Coins from the event to obtain items and new area info. There's also a Reward Boost Ticket, which can be applied once per day and boost the rewards. Finally there will be a new item as a reward for the event which will let you power up a 5 Star Strike Sync Pair.
Sync Orbs will be adjusted in late April. The Sync Orb Chance in Single Player and Co-Op battles will be removed and Co-Op Sync Orbs will run as drop rewards to super courses. They'll also be available more often
They also have announced that the Legendary Arena will be detailed in Mid May

It has Volbeat and Illumise appearing globally with their shinies available. It also adds Woobat into the wild and Research and has Alolan Meowth, Chansey, Eevee, Feebas, Lillipup, and Joltik appear in the wild.
Alolan Meowth, Eevee, Feebas, Lillipup, and Joltik will appear in 5km eggs during the event
There will be Field Research focusing on Alolan Meowth, Volbeat, Illumise and Woobat.
Distance for Buddy Candy and hearts will be halved. Your Buddy weill get excited easier and will be on the map for twice as long. You'll also have 2* Evolution Experience.

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day. This Community Day is a reschedule of the planned March Community Day and runs on April 25th from 11am to 5pm local time. During this, spawns of Abra will be increased and Alakazam will know the move Counter if evolved during the event. It also runs with 3 * Catch Stardust

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This is the Incense Day event on April 19th. For 6 hours, from 11am to 5pm local time, you'll get various boosts during your Incense. You'll also find a 1 PokéCoin bundle giving three incense All incense will boost Sentret but, for one hour, certain types will be boosted

Niantic have detailed further information about upcoming changes to come to Pokémon GO as the current global scenario continues.
First, Remote Raid Passes are coming soon and will allow you to select a Raid that you can see or is in your nearby Raid menu. These passes will cost 100 Poké Coins, but there will be a 1 Coin Bundle including them in the future. At launch, the Remote Raid Passes will function as normal but in the future, players using Remote Raid Passes will do less damage than those who are at the Raid location
Next, players will get a bonus Field Research task each day without having to spin a Poké Stop
Your Buddy Pokémon will also soon be able to bring you gifts, also without spinning a Poké Stop.
Soon there will be a few tweaks allowing you to Power Up Pokémon quicker, being able to select the amount of Stardust and Candy to use at once. There will also be changes to the Battle scenes to show consistent HP and even a Pokémon's types, and Shops to show if there's new items.
Finally, a note is also listed of people being able to use multiple Lucky Eggs, Star Pieces and Incense at once to have an increased duration of their effects, being able to activate for up to 24 hours at once

The new event has started in Pokémon Rumble Rush. This event, Arceus and the Isle of Myths, is focused on an island based around Arceusand contains various Pokémon, all Sinnoh Pokémon, new Gears and more. It runs for three weeks, until May 6th. As such, we're currently compiling everything about this new event and so this update and our Rumble Rush section will be updated with details over the coming days

It has been confirmed that Pokémon Rumble Rush will cease service on July 22nd 2020 at 01:59 UTC meaning it'll no longer be able to be downloaded, update or played. Alongside this, as of today, you will now longer be able to purchase any Poké Diamonds and there will be a refund for unused Diamonds starting July 22nd. With this, they have put out the plans until then.

Niantic have announceda new feature launching tomorrow, GO Battle League leaderboards. This will show the top 500 trainers in the world, their names, teams, rankis, ratings and matches. They are catalogued for the previous day's battles from Rank 7 and higher. It is updated betwee 20:00 and 22:00 UTC each day.
In addition to that, a GO Battle Day will run on April 12th 2020. This focuses on Marill and during this, from 11:00 to 14:00 local time, you'll be able to get a Marill as a guaranteed reward for your first and third wins on the standard track or for every win on Premium Raid Pass track. You'll also receive 2* Catch Stardust catching Marill. All day on GO Battle Day, you'll be able to beat 20 sets of GO Battle League Battles meaning a total of 100 Battles

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This is the Spring 2020 event and features floral hat Pikachu, Pichu, Buneary, Togepi as well as Togepi themed outfits. At present they haven't revealed the full details of this event but we'll post as and when they come. This event runs from Thursday 9th April at 08;00 Local to Thursday April 16th at 22:00 local. It adds shiny Exeggcute. All Eggs from gifts during the event will be 2km eggs. It includes Field Research tasks that give Alolan Exeggutor, Azumarill and Audino. Lucky Eggs last an hour and you have 2 * Hatch Candy

Niantic have announced some changes to the Spotlight Hour, combining the Pokémon bonus and Mystery Bonus Hour. From 6pm to 7pm local time on each Tuesday a specific Pokémon will have increased spawns and a special bonus

April 14th: Magnemite - 2* Catch Candy
April 21st: Wobbuffet - 2* Transfer Candy
April 28th: Pidgey - 2* Evolution XP

Pokémon Championship Series
The Pokémon Company have put out their Japanese and Korean notices about the cancellation of the Pokémon World Championships this year. With this, the Korean League competitions have also been cancelled. However, The Pokémon Company has stated that Japan is still set to run with the Japan Championships, set to run June 27th/28th but the final decision on if it will run will come by Mid-May

Pokémon the Movie Coco
It has been announced that the plans to allow for prebooking tickets for the movie, Pokémon the Movie Coco have been delayed beyond the planned April 17th date. At present there's no further dates for when it will be able to be prepurchased. However, it has been stated that the movie is still set for release on July 10th 2020 at this time

Pokémon Shirts
It has been confirmed that the Johto Pokémon Pokémon Shirts will be available in Mid-April. Previously, only around 20 Johto Pokémon shirts had been revealed for pre purchase but today it was confirmed that all 100 Johto patterns will be available. We'll bring more information when they're finally live

Niantic have confirmed some changes to various attacks in Pokémon GO. These are focused around Grass-type Pokémon for this month;
Bullet Seed generates energy quicker
Energy Ball is charged quicker and now lowers Defense by one stage
Leaf Tornado now has a chance of decreasing your opponent's attack by 1 or 2 stages.
Ancient Power now does less damag
Silver Wind now does less damage
Ominous Wind now does less damage and charges slower
In addition to this, the following Pokémon learn new moves:

Pokémon Sword & Shield - Ranked Battle Rewards
The second series of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from nature mints up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement. We have full details of the rewards in our Ranked Battle section

The next season of Ranked Battle has begun. This month runs from today until April 30th at 23:59 UTC and runs the same rules as last month but comes with a rank reset. This series will have various rewards including a Brave Mint and Quiet Mint. We have full details in our section

Niantic have put out further details for the April Fool's event. This eventruns until 22:00 local time on April 7th and Aipom, Wynaut, Bonsly, Croagunk, and Stunfisk can be found in 5km eggs. The Research Breakthrough Pokémon have shifted. From now until May 1st at 20:00 UTC, when you unlock a Research Breakthrough reward, the Pokémon will be Alolan Exeggutor with a Stardust boost on capture and, with this, Field Research is shifting

Some new episode titles for the upcoming anime series have been released through Japanese TV Guides. These episodes are set to air on April 12th, 19th and 26th respectively. The first episode features Ash looking after a mysterious egg. The second has Ash & Go go to Hoenn to experience the Beautifly migration so that Go can catch more Wurmple. However, when Go sends out Raboot, it starts disobeying him. The third episode has all the food in Sakuragi's park go missing causing the Pokémon to fight, so Ash & Go have to investigate
