The next Pokémon Scarlet & Violet distribution has been announced. To celebrate the Pokémon Trainers Cup in South Korea, a Porygon2 based on the Porygon2 used by Juyoung Hong to win the 2024 Pokémon Trainer's Cup last year will be distributed during the stream for the finals on June 7th & June 8th 2025. This Porygon2 holds an Eviolite and has the moves Tera Blast, Ice Beam, Recover and Trick Room. We'll provide the code as it comes so be sure to keep checking back

The first event is Serene Retreat which runs from May 30th through June 3rd and introduces Gigantamax Rillaboom.
Chansey, Marill, Furfrou, Cutiefly, Morelull, Komala, Hatenna, Snorlax and Chimecho will spawn in the wild
Chingling, Munna, Spritzee and Swirlix will be in 2km Eggs
There will be a Collection Challenge
Munna, Cutiefly, Morelull, Komala and Hatenna will be in Field Research
During the event, there will be 50% Hatch Distance, 1.5* Hatch Experience, the Max Particle Collection limit will increase to 1,600 and you'll get 8* the Max Particles from Power Spots. There is an increased chance of Shiny Munna and Shiny Morelull

Pokémon GO has now activated remote Max Battles throughout the game globally. This will now run indefinitely for all players. With this, players can now use a Remote Raid Pass as well as Max Particles to complete a Max Battle. The Remote Raid Pass is consumed when the battle commences while Max Particles are still only used when you have won the battle. Alongside this, the Max Particle limit as standard is now 1,500 stored at a time.

The newest Shadow Pokémon focused Raid Day is rolling out in Pokémon GO. For three hours in each region, Regigigas will appear in Shadow Raids on each Gym in the area.
With this, you will get up to 5 extra Raid Passes from Gyms and can participate in up to 20 Remote Raid a day. You will also have a higher chance of finding shiny Regigigas after completion of the raid. There is also free Timed Research for all players
A paid ticket is also available that gives increased experience as well as another 8 additional free Raid Passes from Gyms.
It runs from 2pm to 5pm in your local time.

Nintendo has revealed the contents of the Nintendo Switch 2 patch for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. It has been confirmed that this patch will include visuals optimised for Nintendo Switch 2 display with improved image quality and will have improved frame rate on Nintendo Switch 2. Some distributions have been announced for the Pokémon Japan Championships this year. These events will run on June 21st and 22nd 2025. These events will be distributed via Pokémon HOME at the venue
First, an Amoonguss based on the Amoonguss used by 2024 Senior Division World Champion Ray Yamanaka will be distributed. This Amoonguss has the moves Spore, Sludge Bomb, Rage Powder, Protect and holds a Rocky Helmet. It is currently unclear if this Amoonguss will be distributed to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players through code
In addition to that, eight different medals will be obtainable in Pokémon HOME. These medals will have unique designs matching the artwork of the event and can be shared with other players

Niantic have announced how Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Sword Zamazenta work in Pokémon GO. In this game, when you beat them in raids, you will Crowned Sword or Crowned Shield Energy respectively. With 1000 Energy, you can change the form of Zacian and Zamazenta if it knows the move Iron Head. From there, any Zacian that know Iron Head will learn Behemoth Blade and any Zamazenta that know Iron Head will learn Behemoth Bash
In addition to that, these Pokémon can be used in Max Battles despite being unable to Dynamax. With this, you will be able to level up Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash for use in Max Battles just like any Max Move
Players who participate in the live events in Osaka, Jersey City and Paris will get the energy in Special Research while it will be available in Raid Battles in the Global event in June

Niantic have announced a new RSVP Planner feature in Pokémon GO, available from today. This feature allows for you to schedule raids as soon as an egg appears at a gym and you'll be able to see other raids nearby that have schedules. This scedule is seen on the map so players can tell when a raid is going to be set up by other players nearby and it will display the time and how many players have RSVP'd for the raid

Pokémon Fossil Museum
It has been confirmed that the Pokémon Fossil Museum is to be leaving Japan for the first time to go to the Field Museum in Chicago Illinois from May 22nd 2026. This museum has been running since 2021 as a travelling exhibit throughout Japan showcasing life-size Pokémon skeletons to talk about the ecology of Fossil and ancient Pokémon. Currently we have no further details but be sure to check our Pokémon Fossil Museum section for details

Pokémon Café ReMix has received its monthly update. With this, a new gimmick has been announced, the Chewy Gummy which needs to be hit twice with a skill or a microphone.
In addition to that, for the game's 5th anniversary on June 23rd, it has been announced that you will soon be able to customise the café. This is to be done by participating in login stamps and events to earn furniture, wallpapers and more. We'll provide full details on the game's customisation feature when it launches so be sure to check back

The stream distributions for the Pokémon North America International Championships have been officially revealed. These will be given in the stream from June 13th - June 15th 2025
For Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, an Incineroar based on Wolfe's Incineroar used to win the Europe International Championships in February will be given via a code. The Incineroar will have the moves Protect, Parting Shot, Fake Out, and Flare Blitz as well as the Partner Ribbon and the same stats

For Pokémon GO, there will be Timed Research focused on Mandibuzz, one of the Pokémon that helped P4T0M4N win the Europe International Championships

The app, Nintendo Music, available on iOS and Android for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, has added the full soundtrack for the game, Pokémon Sword & Shield. This contains all 138 tracks from throughout the game including the DLC

It has been confirmed that registration to get access to the Pokémon Center at NAIC will open soon. The Pokémon Center will be open the following days:

Pokémon GO has now activated remote Shadow Raids throughout the game globally. This will now run indefinitely for all players. Alongside this, the daily Remote Raid limit has now also been increased to 10 as standard indefinitely. This follows on from the announcement last week for it and Max Battles. Remote Max Battles are still set to come next week, on May 19th

A new High Score event has begun in Pokémon Masters EX. This event is the Grass & Bug Conqueror event which features battles against Grass & Bug Sync Pairs with the aim to earn the most points to get rewards. It runs until May 21st 2025
Alongside this, a special Poké Fair Scout is now live that offers the chance to get the Sync Pairs of Alder & Volcarona, Victor & Rillaboom and Greta & Breloom

This event runs from 04:00 local time today until 03:59 local time on May 15th and features bonus Drowsy Power and Pokémon Experience for every Sleep Research that begins during this time period. This will give *1.5 Drowsy Power on May 12th and 14th and *3 Drowsy Power on May 13th
It also features increased spawns for Cleffa, Clefairy & Clefable

Battles for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Grand Challenge 2025 IV Online Competition have now begun. This competition runs the current Regulation I ruleset and is the final of the eight competitions to earn Championship Points
Battles run from 00:00 UTC on May 9th through 23:59 UTC on May 11th.
This competition also gives 100,000 League Points, a Gold Bottle Cap and an Ability Patch to all players who complete 3 or more battles and provides Championship Points to the highest ranked players
