After you have helped Corbeau with the jobs, he, impressed by you, decides that the interest for the debt has been paid off and says that he wants to battle you. Your next Promotion Match comes through and it is against Corbeau.

Earn yourself a Challenger's Ticket and return to the Rust Syndicate to battle him and his Mega Scolipede.

Defeat Corbeau and return to the hotel. However, Corbeau soon comes in and asks about the hospitality of the hotel and books to stay the night.

The next morning, Corbeau comes down and thanks for a good night and gives Taunie/Urbain a big tip for a ajob well done; the amount of which accounts for all of Taunie/Urbain's debt, which they then pay off.
