Usable Attacks

As Pokémon Legends: Z-A has an entirely new battle system, the moves that Pokémon can use have been adjusted and so not all moves are able to be used. Just over 240 moves are able to be used by Pokémon in this game. Below is a list of all these usable moves. Click them to go to their AttackDex page for further details.

Aqua Jet 3 30 The user attacks by lunging toward targets with blinding speed.
Aqua Ring 10 -- The user summons a ring of water that will gradually restore its HP.
Armor Cannon 8 120 The user attacks by shooting off its own armor as blazing projectiles. This also lowers the user's Defense and Sp. Def stats for a short time.
Aura Sphere 8 80 The user attacks by letting loose a pulse of aura power from within its body.
Aura Wheel 12 110 The user attacks with energy from its cheeks, increasing its movement speed and boosting its Attack stat for a short time. This move's type changes based on Morpeko's form.
Barb Barrage 10 60 The user attacks by launching countless toxic barbs, which may also poison targets. This move's power is doubled if a target is already poisoned.
Bite 6 60 The user attacks by biting targets with viciously sharp fangs. This may also make targets flinch.
Bitter Blade 12 90 The user attacks by focusing all its bitter feelings toward this world into the tip of its blade. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Blast Burn 20 150 The user attacks by razing targets with a fiery explosion. The recoil will leave the user unable to move for a short time.
Blaze Kick 7 85 The user attacks with a kick that may also leave targets with a burn. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Blizzard 12 110 The user attacks by blasting targets with a howling blizzard. This may also leave targets frozen.
Body Slam 8 85 The user attacks by dropping onto targets with its full body weight. This may also leave targets paralyzed.
Bonemerang 7 55 The user attacks by throwing the bone it holds two times, one after the other.
Boomburst 8 140 The user attacks by unleashing the destructive power of a terrible explosive sound across a wide area.
Bounce 12 85 The user attacks by bouncing up and disappearing into the sky for a short time, then dropping down onto targets. This may also leave targets paralyzed.
Brave Bird 10 120 The user attacks by tucking its wings and charging at targets from a low altitude. The user will also take some damage.
Breaking Swipe 15 60 The user attacks by wildly swinging its tough tail. This also lowers targets' Attack stats for a short time.
Brick Break 7 75 The user attacks with a swift chop. This move can also break barriers such as Light Screen and Reflect.
Brutal Swing 15 60 The user attacks everything nearby by swinging about violently.
Bubble Beam 6 65 The user attacks by shooting out a blast of bubbles. This may also make targets move more slowly.
Bug Buzz 8 90 The user attacks with damaging sound waves created by vibration. This may also lower targets' Sp. Def stats.
Bulk Up 18 -- The user boosts its Attack and Defense stats for a short time by tensing its muscles to bulk up its body.
Bulldoze 6 60 The user attacks targets by stomping on the ground. This also makes targets move more slowly for a short time.
Bullet Punch 3 30 The user attacks with a flurry of tough punches as fast as bullets.
Bullet Seed 6 15 The user attacks by forcefully shooting out five seeds, one after the other.
Calm Mind 18 -- The user boosts its Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats for a short time by quietly focusing its mind and calming its spirit.
Charge 10 -- The user charges up to boost the power of the next Electric-type move it uses. This also boosts the user's Sp. Def stat for a short time.
Charge Beam 6 50 The user attacks targets with an electric charge. The residual electricity may also boost the user's Sp. Atk stat.
Charm 10 -- The user gazes charmingly at targets to make them less wary, which lowers their Attack stats for a while.
Chilling Water 6 50 The user attacks targets by showering them with water that's so cold it saps their power. This also lowers targets' Attack stats for a short time.
Circle Throw 6 60 The user attacks by hurling targets far away from itself. This may also lower targets' Defense stats.
Close Combat 12 120 The user attacks by abandoning defense and charging in close to targets. This lowers the user's Defense and Sp. Def stats for a short time.
Comet Punch 6 30 The user attacks with a flurry of five punches, one after the other.
Confuse Ray 6 -- The user shines a sinister ray at targets, leaving them confused.
Confusion 6 50 The user attacks by directing a weak telekinetic force toward targets. This may also leave targets confused.
Conversion 15 -- The user changes its type to become the same type as the move at the top of the list of moves it knows.
Conversion 2 15 -- The user changes its type to make itself resistant to the type of the move its target used last.
Core Enforcer 9 100 The user attacks by firing off a powerful beam that scorches across the battlefield as if carving out the letter Z.
Cotton Guard 10 -- The user boosts its Defense stat for a long while by wrapping its body in soft cotton.
Crunch 8 80 The user attacks by crunching targets up with sharp fangs. This may also lower targets' Defense stats.
Curse 15 -- The user boosts its Attack and Defense stats in exchange for lowering its movement speed for a short time. When Ghost types use this move, the effect is different.
Dark Pulse 8 80 The user attacks by releasing a horrible aura rife with ill intent. This may also make targets flinch.
Dark Void 12 60 The user inflicts drowsiness through total darkness. This deals extra damage to already drowsy targets. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Dazzling Gleam 30 80 The user attacks with a powerful flash of light.
Detect 13 -- The user takes on a protective stance that prevents incoming attacks from landing.
Diamond Storm 15 100 The user attacks by engulfing targets in a storm of diamonds. This may also boost the user's Defense stat.
Dig 12 80 The user attacks by disappearing underground for a short time, then surfacing to strike targets.
Disarming Voice 9 40 The user attacks by letting out a charming cry that causes emotional damage.
Discharge 8 80 The user attacks by letting loose a flare of electricity across a wide area. This may also leave those hit paralyzed.
Double Hit 6 50 The user attacks with two strikes dealt with a tail or the like, one after the other.
Double Iron Bash 10 60 The user attacks by spinning itself around the hex nut in its chest, striking targets twice with its arms, one after another. This may also make targets flinch.
Double Team 15 -- The user moves so quickly that it creates illusory copies of itself, allowing the user to evade incoming attacks.
Double-Edge 10 120 The user attacks with a reckless, all-out charge. The user will also take some damage.
Draco Meteor 10 130 The user attacks by summoning comets to rain down from the sky. The recoil will lower the user's Sp. Atk stat for a while.
Dragon Ascent 16 120 The user attacks targets by dropping out of the sky at high speed. This also lowers the user's Defense and Sp. Def stats for a short time.
Dragon Breath 6 60 The user attacks by exhaling a mighty gust of breath. This may also leave targets paralyzed.
Dragon Claw 8 80 The user attacks by slicing targets with huge, sharp claws.
Dragon Pulse 8 85 The user attacks by blasting targets with a shock wave emitted from its gaping mouth.
Dragon Rush 12 100 The user attacks by tackling targets while exhibiting overwhelming menace. This may also make targets flinch.
Drain Punch 7 75 The user attacks with an energy-draining punch. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Draining Kiss 10 50 The user attacks with a draining kiss that steals HP from targets to restore the user's own HP.
Dream Eater 7 100 The user attacks by eating the dreams of drowsy targets. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Drill Run 8 80 The user attacks by crashing into targets while rotating like a drill. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Dual Chop 6 45 The user attacks with two strikes dealt with a tough part of its body, one after the other.
Dual Wingbeat 10 45 The user attacks by slamming targets with its wings to deal two strikes, one after the other.
Dynamic Punch 12 100 The user attacks by punching targets with full concentrated power. This also leaves targets confused without fail.
Earth Power 8 90 The user attacks by making the ground under targets erupt with power. This may also lower targets' Sp. Def stats.
Earthquake 10 100 The user attacks by setting off an earthquake that strikes a wide area.
Eerie Impulse 15 -- The user generates an eerie impulse from its body, which lowers targets' Sp. Atk stats for a while.
Electroweb 7 55 The user attacks by catching targets in an electrified net. This also makes targets move more slowly for a short time.
Ember 6 40 The user attacks by shooting out small flames. This may also leave targets with a burn.
Endure 12 -- The user takes a ready stance to endure any attack. While in this stance, the user will be able to take a hit and be left with at least 1 HP without fail.
Energy Ball 8 90 The user attacks by drawing power from nature and firing it at targets. This may also lower targets' Sp. Def stats.
Explosion 15 250 The user emits tremendous explosive force, causing damage across a wide area. The user faints after using this move.
Extreme Speed 3 65 The user attacks by charging into targets with blinding speed.
Facade 7 70 The user attacks with a power that is doubled if the user is poisoned, paralyzed, burned, or drowsy.
Fairy Wind 8 40 The user attacks by stirring up a fairy wind to strike targets.
Fake Out 3 40 The user attacks first to make targets flinch. This move only succeeds if it is used first thing upon the user entering a battle.
Fake Tears 10 -- The user feigns crying to fluster targets, which lowers their Sp. Def stats for a while.
False Swipe 6 40 The user attacks with restraint to ensure that targets are left with at least 1 HP.
Feather Dance 10 -- The user buries targets in a mass of down, which lowers targets' Attack stats for a while.
Fire Blast 10 110 The user attacks with an intense blast of all-consuming fire. This may also leave targets with a burn.
Fire Fang 6 65 The user attacks by biting targets with flame-cloaked fangs. This may also make targets flinch or leave them with a burn.
Fire Punch 7 75 The user attacks with a fiery punch. This may also leave targets with a burn.
Fire Spin 7 20 The user summons a fierce vortex of fire to surround targets. Opponents within the vortex will take continual damage.

Flame Wheel 6 60 The user attacks by charging forward while wrapped in flames. This may also leave targets with a burn.
Flamethrower 8 90 The user attacks with a stream of fierce flames. This may also leave targets with a burn.
Flare Blitz 8 120 The user attacks by charging forward while cloaked in flames. This may leave targets with a burn. The user will also take some damage.
Flash Cannon 8 80 The user attacks by gathering its internal light energy and releasing it all at once. This may also lower the targets' Sp. Def stats.
Fleur Cannon 6 130 The user attacks by unleashing a powerful beam. The recoil will lower the user's Sp. Atk stat for a while.
Flip Turn 12 60 The user attacks by dishing out a quick blow, then rushes back to its Trainer with incredible speed.
Fly 12 90 The user attacks by disappearing high into the sky for a short time, then swooping back down.
Flying Press 8 100 The user attacks by diving down onto targets from the sky. This move is both Fighting and Flying type simultaneously.
Focus Blast 12 120 The user attacks by heightening its mental focus to unleash its power. This may also lower targets' Sp. Def stats.
Focus Energy 10 -- The user takes a deep breath and focuses, increasing the chance of its attacks landing critical hits for a while.
Forest's Curse 9 -- The user places the curse of the forest on targets. This adds the Grass type to targets.
Freeze-Dry 10 70 The user attacks by rapidly lowering targets' temperature. This move is super effective on Water-type Pokémon, and it may also leave targets frozen.
Frenzy Plant 20 150 The user attacks by slamming targets with the roots of an enormous tree. The recoil will leave the user unable to move for a short time.
Frost Breath 7 65 The user attacks by blowing its cold breath on targets. This move always lands a critical hit.
Future Sight 10 120 A short time after this move is used, a blast of psychic energy will strike the spot where the target was.
Geomancy 10 -- The user absorbs energy to boost its Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats and increase its movement speed for a while. This move takes some time to carry out.
Giga Drain 9 75 The user attacks by draining targets of their nutrients. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.

Gigaton Hammer 9 160 The user attacks by swinging its whole body around to attack with its huge hammer. This move cannot be used again for a short time after the blow is dealt.
Glaive Rush 12 120 The user attacks by throwing its entire body into a reckless charge. However, the user is left wide open and unable to move for a short time.
Glare 8 -- The user intimidates targets with a frightful glare that will leave them paralyzed.
Growl 6 -- The user growls endearingly to make targets less wary, which lowers their Attack stats for a short time.

Haze 15 -- The user cloaks the area in a dark haze. Pokémon touched by the haze will have their stat changes reverted.

Horn Leech 9 75 The user attacks by using its horns to drain targets of their energy. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Hurricane 9 110 The user attacks by wrapping targets in a fierce wind. This may also leave targets confused.
Hydro Cannon 20 150 The user attacks by hitting targets with a cannon blast of water. The recoil will leave the user unable to move for a short time.
Hydro Pump 12 110 The user attacks by blasting targets with a huge volume of water launched under great pressure.
Hyper Beam 20 150 The user attacks by shooting a powerful beam at targets. The recoil will leave the user unable to move for a short time.
Hyper Voice 8 90 The user attacks by unleashing horribly loud, resounding vibrations.
Hyperspace Fury 20 100 The user attacks with a barrage from multiple arms. This attack ignores moves such as Protect or Detect, but it also lowers the user's Defense stat for a short time.
Hyperspace Hole 10 80 The user attacks by using a hyperspace hole to appear right near targets without warning. This attack can hit targets using moves such as Protect or Detect.
Hypnosis 10 -- The user employs hypnotic suggestion to make targets drowsy.
Ice Beam 8 90 The user attacks by shooting out a beam of icy-cold energy. This may also leave targets frozen.
Ice Fang 6 65 The user attacks by biting targets with cold-infused fangs. This may also make targets flinch or leave them frozen.
Ice Hammer 6 100 The user attacks by swinging its strong, heavy fist at targets to inflict damage. This also lowers the user's movement speed for a short time.
Ice Punch 7 75 The user attacks with an icy punch. This may also leave targets frozen.

Iron Tail 10 100 The user attacks by slamming its hard tail into targets. This may also lower targets' Defense stats.
King's Shield 12 -- The user takes on a defensive stance and shields itself from incoming attacks. The shield lowers the Attack stats of attackers that make direct contact.
Knock Off 10 65 The user attacks by slapping targets' held items away, making the items unusable for the rest of the battle. This move does more damage to targets holding items.
Land's Wrath 10 90 The user attacks by gathering energy from the land and focusing that power on targets.
Last Respects 8 50 The user attacks to avenge its allies. The more defeated allies there are in the user's party, the greater the move's power.
Lava Plume 8 80 The user attacks by unleashing an inferno of scarlet flames across a wide area. This may also leave those hit with a burn.
Leaf Blade 8 90 The user attacks by using a leaf like a sword to slice targets. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Leaf Storm 10 130 The user attacks by whipping up a storm of sharp leaves around targets. The recoil will lower the user's Sp. Atk stat for a while.
Leafage 12 40 The user attacks by pelting targets with leaves.
Leech Life 9 80 The user attacks by draining targets of their blood. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Leech Seed 12 -- The user plants seeds that will slowly but continually absorb HP from targets and restore the user's HP.
Leer 6 -- The user frightens targets with an intimidating leer, which lowers their Defense stats for a short time.
Lick 6 30 The user attacks by licking targets with a long tongue. This may also leave targets paralyzed.
Light Screen 12 -- The user constructs a wondrous wall of light that will reduce damage taken from special moves for a while. This effect continues even if the user is switched out.
Light of Ruin 8 140 The user attacks by drawing power from the Eternal Flower to fire off a powerful beam of light. The user will also take some damage.
Liquidation 7 85 The user attacks by slamming into targets using a full- force blast of water. This may also lower targets' Defense stats.
Low Sweep 6 65 The user attacks targets with a swift move aimed at their legs. This also makes targets move more slowly for a short time.
Lunge 6 80 The user attacks by lunging toward targets with full force. This also lowers targets' Attack stats for a short time.
Luster Purge 8 95 The user attacks by unleashing a blinding light. This may also lower targets' Sp. Def stats.
Mach Punch 3 30 The user attacks by throwing a punch with blinding speed.

Megahorn 10 120 The user attacks with a tough and impressive horn, ramming into targets with all-out force.
Metal Claw 6 50 The user attacks by raking targets with steel claws. This may also boost the user's Attack stat.
Metal Sound 10 -- The user emits a horrible sound like screeching metal, which lowers targets' Sp. Def stats for a while.
Meteor Assault 8 150 The user attacks wildly with its thick leek. However, this also makes the user stagger, leaving it unable to move for a short time.
Meteor Beam 6 120 The user attacks with energy gathered from space. This boosts the user's Sp. Atk stat for a while. This move takes some time to carry out.
Metronome 4 -- The user waggles a finger and stimulates its brain to unleash a random move from among the many moves that exist.
Mimic 6 -- The user attacks by mimicking the last move that a target used, unleashing that same move back upon it.
Mist 10 -- The user cloaks the area in a white mist. Pokémon within the mist cannot have their stats lowered by opponents.
Mist Ball 8 95 The user attacks with a ball packed with mist-like down. This may also lower targets' Sp. Atk stats.
Moonblast 6 95 The user attacks by using the power of the moon. This may also lower targets' Sp. Atk stats.
Moonlight 15 -- The user restores some HP by bathing in the soothing light of the moon.
Morning Sun 15 -- The user restores some HP by bathing in the pleasant rays of the sun.
Mortal Spin 8 30 The user attacks by spinning about. This leaves targets poisoned and also increases the user's movement speed for a short time.
Mud Shot 6 55 The user attacks by hurling a blob of mud at targets. This also makes targets move more slowly for a short time.
Muddy Water 8 90 The user attacks by shooting muddy water at targets. This also makes targets move more slowly for a short time.
Mystical Fire 3 75 The user attacks by breathing a special kind of searing flame. This also lowers targets' Sp. Atk stats for a short time.
Nasty Plot 15 -- The user boosts its Sp. Atk stat for a while by thinking bad thoughts to stimulate its brain.
Night Slash 7 70 The user attacks by slashing the instant an opportunity arises. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Nihil Light 30 200 The user attacks by unleashing a powerful light that defies all laws of nature, striking even Fairy types and ignoring any stat changes affecting its targets.
No Retreat 10 -- The user puts everything on the line and boosts all its stats for a short time. In exchange, the user temporarily loses the ability to switch out of battle.
Nuzzle 8 20 The user attacks by nuzzling targets with its electrified cheeks. This leaves targets paralyzed.
Oblivion Wing 10 80 The user unleashes a wave of destruction to absorb HP from targets and restore the user's own HP.
Octolock 60 -- The user locks targets in and prevents them from fleeing. This move also continually lowers the targets' Defense and Sp. Def stats for a while.
Ominous Wind 6 60 The user attacks with a gust of horrible wind that makes targets' skin crawl. This may also boost all the user's stats at once.
Order Up 8 80 The user attacks with roguish poise. If the user has a Tatsugiri in its mouth, this move boosts one of the user's stats based on the Tatsugiri's form.
Origin Pulse 15 110 The user attacks targets with countless beams of light that glow a bluish white.
Outrage 15 120 The user attacks in a furious rampage, then becomes confused.
Overdrive 9 80 The user attacks targets by twanging a guitar or bass guitar, causing a huge echo and strong vibration.
Overheat 10 130 The user attacks with all the power it can muster. The recoil will lower the user's Sp. Atk stat for a while.
Parabolic Charge 10 65 The user attacks by unleashing a wave of electricity. The user's HP will be restored by a portion of the damage dealt.
Parting Shot 6 -- The user intimidates targets with a parting threat before rushing back to its Trainer. This lowers targets' Attack and Sp. Atk stats for a short time.
Pay Day 6 40 The user attacks by hurling coins at targets. If a target is successfully struck, you will earn money.
Peck 6 35 The user attacks by jabbing targets with a sharply pointed beak or horn.
Perish Song 20 -- Any Pokémon that hears this song will faint after a while, unless they switch out of battle.
Petal Dance 10 40 The user attacks by scattering petals in three waves, one after another. The user then becomes confused.
Phantom Force 7 90 The user attacks by disappearing into the shadows for a short time, then surfacing to strike targets. This attack can hit targets using moves such as Protect or Detect.
Pin Missile 6 15 The user attacks by shooting out five sharp spikes, one after the other.
Plasma Fists 15 100 The user attacks with electrically charged fists. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit and may also make targets flinch.
Play Rough 7 90 The user attacks by playing rough. This may also lower targets' Attack stats.

Precipice Blades 16 120 The user attacks targets by manifesting the power of the land into blades.
Protect 15 -- The user takes on a protective stance that prevents incoming attacks from landing.
