For those of you in Europe & Australia, the Victini event is now available on Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games. This event is available through Mystery Gift > Receive Gift > Get Via Internet and gives you the Mythical Pokémon Victini, which can't be found in the wild. This event is only running through to September 24th so get while you can. It'll be added on North American games later today. A few brand new challenges have begun on Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Shuffle Mobile.
First, a special stage for Xerneas will be running until September 6th giving players a chance to get Xerneas.
Next, a repeat Competitive Challenge for Mega Charizard X's Mega Stone has begun. If you are in the top 1,600 in North America, 1,000 in Europe or 5,000 in Japan, you will get a Charizardite X, Mega Speedup and a Skill Swapper. If you are in the top 6,400 in America, 4,200 in Europe or 20,000 in Japan, you'll get a Charizardite X and a Mega Speedup. If you're in the top 19,000 in North America, 13,000 in Europe and 60,000 in Japan, you'll get a Charizardite X and Disruption Delay. If you're in the top 26,000 in North America, 17,000 in Europe or 80,000 in Japan, you'll get an Attack Power and Disruption Delay. If you already have a
Charizardite X, you'll get a Raise Max Level. All other players get an Attack Power
Next, the Arceus stage has begun a repeat run until September 13th 2016
Next, the Regice stage is beginning another repeat run until September 13th 2016
Finally, the Daily Pokémon (#5) stages are beginning a repeat run until September 13th 2016. This provides Maractus, Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Durant and Heatmor. If you have captured them already, then you have a chance of getting coins.

For those of you in North America, the second chance Mew event is set to end on Wedneday. In June, the Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter was sent out with the special serial code for Mew. These are one-time use codes and cannot be used if you redeemed a Mew code from Gamestop earlier in the year. These codes will expire on August 31st 2016 so be sure to download your Mew while you still have a chance.

First, with the Pokémon Sun & Moon World's Fastest Capture Guide on November 28th, it will come with a special QR Code which will allow for you to easily find where Togedemaru is in the wild. It also confirmed that the special Moncolle GET figures will come with QR Codes that will let you easily find the Pokémon in the wild. Secondly, with the Pokémon Sun & Moon Official Guide Book, it has been confirmed that you will receive a serial code for a Gold Bottle Cap and confirms that the Gold Bottle Caps will boost the IVs to maximum. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Battle Competition
Battles for the next Battle Competition has begun. This is the Unova Classic competition. This competition is a Triple Battle competition and runs unique rules. These rules allow for you to use Pokémon in the National Pokédex from 001-649 aside from Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta & Genesect. No Mega Stones are allowed. Battles run from August 26th through August 28th. All entrants get a Level 35 Darmanitan based on N's Darmanitan. It has the ability Zen Mode and the moves Thrash, Belly Drum, Flare Blitz & Hammer Arm

A new patch has started to go live for Android and iOS devices. This patch, Version 1.5, brings several new updates to the game including a special feature that allows for the team leader to check the Attack and Defense potential of your Pokémon akin to that of the IV Checker in the main series games. A few brand new challenges have begun on Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Shuffle Mobile.
First, the White Kyurem stage is beginning a run until September 6th.
Next, the Diancie Escalation Battle is having a repeat run until September 6th. This gives different items to the previous run of this event such as the Skill Booster and Exp. Booster. It also gives a Diancite at Level 50, or a Mega Speedup if a Diancite is already obtained
Next, the Shaymin Land Forme stage is having a repeat run until September 6th. If you have already caught it, you can get Shaymin Skill Boosters
Next, the Zekrom stage is also having a repeat run until September 6th. If you have already caught it, Zekrom Skill Boosters sometimes drop
Finally, the Complete Forme Zygarde stage is also having a repeat run until September 6th

The Arceus Distribution that has been running since the start of the month is set to end on Wednesday. During the Gamescom presentation by Battle Director Shigeki Morimoto, we learned some new information about Sun & Moon. First, we saw a new Z-Move used by Pikachu which was Normal-type called Hyper Sprintangriff in German, translates to Hyper Sprint Attack. In addition to this, a world first reveal came which showed a new Pokémon, Turtonator, which is Fire/Dragon-type with the ability Shell Armor and a new move called Shell Trap which will cause the opponent to get hit by an explosion of damage if it hits Turtonator in the same turn 17:12: Updated our New Pokémon page and New Attacks page

Pokémon Snap
It has been confirmed that the Nintendo 64 classic, Pokémon Snap, is to hit the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe on Thursday this week. This classic Nintendo 64 game has already been released in Japan. Its filesize and costs are not currently known. Pokémon Sun & Moon
Earlier this week, the Youtube Channel for the Japanese magazine, V-Jump, put up a video detailing IVs in Pokémon. In this video it gave a bit of clarification into the process. In the video, it showed three different Garchomp with different IV spreads and each of them used a Silver Bottle Cap at Hyper Training. This allowed for one stat to be increased, in this case the Attack was increased on all three Garchomp. This means that you'll be able to use the Silver Bottle Cap in exchange to increase one stat only. It was also mentioned that there may be a Gold Bottle Cap, and questioned if it will be used to increase multiple stats to their maximum. It is still not known how the Bottle Caps can be obtained and if there's a limit to the amount you can find. We'll bring more on Hyper Training and Sun & Moon as it comes

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Shiny Xerneas Event
For those of you in the UK, the Shiny Xerneas event, currently being distributed in Smyths Toy Stores in the UK, is set to end on Tuesday. This distribution matches the Shiny Xerneas given globally over the last year and is the last chance in the UK to get it. It will be followed up by the Shiny Yveltal event that goes live on Wednesday August 17th.
It has also been confirmed that the Shiny Xerneas & Yveltal will be distributed via Serial Code in Vienna, Austria during the Pokémon Kids Tour 2016 event being held on September 3rd and September 4th. As always, this event matches the distribution that has been hitting Europe the past few months.

Following the leak last night, the Japanese Youtube has uploaded the footage for the new Pokémon and Alola Form Raichu that were revealed last night. It also confirms that Wishiwashi will change back from School Form to Solo Form after it has received a certain amount of damage and that Pyukumuku's ability seems to caught the opponent to take damage when it faints. This footage also reveals Team Skull and showcases that they use Pokémon inside their Ultra Balls and Nest Balls, rather than the standard Poké Ball which is a first for the series

Pokémon Video Game Championships
Ahead of the 2016 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco next week, it has finally been officially announced that, unlike previous years, the World Championships will be closed to the general public with only participants and their families being given access. All access is via a special Pokémon World Championships badge given and while there are Guest passes, they will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The World Championships will be streamed and we'll be hosting the stream here. The full stream schedule has been revealed as well. The VGC will be hosted by

A new patch has gone live for Pokémon GO on iOS devices. This patch is a stability patch which doesn't seem to alter the game much. It brings the game's version up to Version 1.3.1 and requires 174MB to download. If any further updates are found from this patch, this update will be altered.

Some new images have been released on various image boards around the internet showcasing what is said to be the trailer that is currently set to go live in Japan on Friday at 10:00 JST, UK at 02:00 BST and US at 21:00 EDT & 18;00 PDT respectively. This showcases a new Alola Form and a new Pokémon as well as some English names. Despite this being a leak, it's not officially confirmed yet. We'll bring more information as it comes. Yowashi is said to be called Wishiwashi with the ability Schooling which changes its form from Solo Form to School Form once it reaches a certain level, and Namakobushi is called Pyukumuku with the ability Innards out. Another new image has come from CoroCoro. This image showcases another new Pokémon but doesn't provide many details about it including type, classification and so forth. This Pokémon is called Namakobushi and is said to be able to send its insides out from its mouth and use as a fist. We'll provide full details on this Pokémon as and when they come

Pokémon Shuffle Mobile Patch
A new patch has gone live for Pokémon Shuffle Mobile. This patch brings the game up to Version 1.8 and includes a few QoL alterations. First, the Profile in the game will now show your full progress throughout the game. If you have cleared Stage 90, it will be Orange, Stage 120 it will be Pink, Stage 150 it will be Red, Bronze if you have cleared 50% of the stages, Silver if you have cleared 70% of the stages and Gold if you have cleared all available main stages. It will also now showcase the difficulty as you go into the stage. It requires 84.8MB to download

The first images from CoroCoro have leaked and have revealed the latest news on Sun & Moon. As always, do note that translations are preliminary while we work on them. The little sandcastle is called Sunabaa while the big one is called Shirodesuna. Both are Ghost/Ground-type. Pre-evolved Bewear is called Nuikoguma and remains Normal/Fighting-type. and the fish is Yowashi is Water-type and appears to have the ability to change its appearance from its Single Form into a larger fish, its School Form. It also confirms Alolan Meowth & Marowak. Alolan Meowth is Dark-type while Alolan Marowak is Fire/Ghost-type.
We also see the first bits of the antagonist team, Team Skull. Its boss is called Guzma and the girl is Plumeri

07:47: Alolan Meowth developed after being bred by the royal family of Alola. Alolan Marowak developed in response to its natural predators in order to resist them.

Nuikoguma is very popular among women and children, and tops the lists of Pokemon people want to meet. It hates being touched and will kick and struggle to resist. It's very powerful, but once it evolves into Bewear it truly gains herculean strength
Sunabaa is a grudge that dwells inside a pile of sand turns into a Pokemon. Truly a terrifying creature
Shirodesuna steals the life force from other Pokemon. Those Pokemon's grudges turn into a new Sunaba.

It has been announced that if you attend Gamescom next week in Cologne, you will be able to pick up a code card. This code card comes with two codes on it, one for Shiny Xerneas, one for Shiny Yveltal. These distributions match the ones that have been given across Europe lately. You cannot redeem them if you have already redeemed those codes

With the new patch, some users such as Toki767 have started to be able to test the new form of tracking on Pokémon GO. With the new tracking system, alongside the Sightings which may show Pokémon in the wild, areas may come up which showcase a Pokémon and their nearest PokéStop. If you tap them, the game will zoom out and show you the location, allowing you to properly hunt them down. If you move out of range, it will disappear and if the Pokémon flees, you will get a notification saying so. It's currently unclear how close to the PokéStop each Pokémon is to be. Other wild Pokémon will appear under Sightings and be within 700 foot of the player. This is still in testing which is why not all players will be seeing it so things may change before it's rolled out to all players. We'll bring more as it comes

A new collaboration has been announced for Pokémon GO. Following the McDonalds restaurants becoming PokéStops in Japan, another company has signed a deal. This time, the TOHO cinema chain is set to have most of their cinemas across Japan become PokéStops. This is only outside and not within the theatres themselves to stop people interrupting others who are watching the movies. The promotion will begin at a later point in the year

A few brand new challenges have begun on Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Shuffle Mobile.
First up, the Meganium stage has begun. This is the first chance to get it. It runs until August 23rd 2016
Next, the Zygarde 50% Forme Escalation Battle has begun a repeat run with new prizes. This stage runs until August 23rd 2016
Next, the Pokémon Safari that includes Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Staryu, Starmie, Furfrou and Phione is beginning a repeat run until August 23rd 2016
Next, the Tornadus stage has begun a repeat run. This stage can be played onced a day and gets easier to catch. After catching it, it may drop a Thundurus Skill Booster or a Mega Speedup. It runs until August 16th
Next, the Mew stage has begun a repeat run until . If have caught Mew already, you may receive Mew Skill Boosters.

Pokémon Comaster - Update
The smartphone game, Pokémon Comaster, has had a new version update. This update brings the game up to Version 1.2.1. This patch does some minor fixes for some Fusion issues, as well as the functionality of the Trevo. It also adds the special Pikachu Carnival special event and Latios (EX), Latias (EX) Slaking (R) and Corphish (UC) have been added to the Trevo. A special Four Pack Trevo has also been added for a limited time to give better chances at getting EX Figures. It requires 200 Diamonds to access. Pokémon - Darkrai Distribution
For those of you in North America, a second chance to get Darkrai has been announced. If you sign up for the official Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter before August 24th, then in September you will receive a serial code to receive Darkrai in the newsletter. This code cannot be redeemed if you already obtained a code for Darkrai earlier this year. Codes have to be redeemed by November 30th. No European second chance events have been announced.

Pokémon Championship Series
New updates have been introduced to how the Pokémon Championship Series is to run over the 2017 season. From this season, the series will be separated into four zones with one big event at the end: The European Championships, North American Championships, Latin American Championships, and Asia Pacific Championships with prize pools of almost $250,000 per event. With this, each Travel Award will be based on players performance over the season.
Along with this, Regional Championships will now have an increase in prizing of more than $50,000 total in prize money, scholarships and Travel awards based on attendance and will be more spread out over the year rather than in small groups over the weekends.
City Championships for TCG are now called League Cups and Premier Challenges & Midseason Showdowns will return in the VGC circuit. In addition to that, Pokémon won't themselves host any National Championships but may approve them on a case-by-case basis with prizes varying. We'll bring more as it comes

A new patch has gone live for Pokémon GO on iOS & Android devices. This patch is said to fix the bug with the Nice, Great and Excellent capture bonuses, allow for you to change your username one time, fixes the Battery Saver mode on iOS and changes Nearby to "Sightings" which showcases the Pokémon next to artwork of grass. Pokkén Tournament Arcade
A new update has come to the arcade version of Pokkén Tournament. This event, running from today until August 21st allows for you to unlock the Support Pokémon of Farfetch'd & Electrode, previously Wii U exclusive, during your play. Secondly, if you use a BANA Passport, you will unlocked a second Mission Panel, with various new titles & backgrounds as prizes. Next, there's also a new Extra Battle during this period where you can battle against Darkrai. If defeated, you will get two Dakrai specific titles. Finally, there's new outfits available for your avatar based on Diving Suits.

Following their release in Japan last week and in America yesterday, the three new Pokémon 3DS themes have been released in Europe. The first is the Pokemon: Pair Art Gardevoir & Gallade which features special art of Gardevoir & Gallade. It has the music Wally's Theme from Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
Secondly is the Pokemon: Pair Art Latios & Latias which features Latios & Latias and the music Soaring at Night from Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. It comes in a bundle with the Gardevoir & Gallade themes for Ł3.19 (€3.49)
Finally is the Pokémon Amie Substitute theme which features imagery of the Substitute on the bottom screen and lots of Substitute and Pokémon on the top screen. It has the music from the Pokémon Amie mini-games in Pokémon X & Y. It can be purchased for Ł1.79 (€1.99)

It has been announced that Pokémon and Insert Coin are going to work in partnership for various Pokémon related merchandise in a special Pokémon X Insert Coin pop-up shop that will be found in the Old Truman Brewery in London, United Kingdom from August 25th to August 30th 2016, with stock on a first come first served basis before going online later in the year. A new udpate has come to Pokémon Comaster. In this update, a new concept trevo pack has been released. This one, called the Reprint Collection, brings back many older figures such as the EX ones of Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Snorlax and Blastoise for you to obtain in it. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Volcanion
It has been confirmed that Volcanion is to be distributed in North America in Gamestop stores throughout October. This distribution is a serial code obtained in store. It will also be distributed in Europe at similar times with locations yet to be announced but the official site lists Gamestop for Germany & Italy. It is Level 70 with the moves Steam Eruption, Flamethrower, Hydro Pump, Explosion and holds the Assault Vest. Our Event Database has been updated with details of this event

It has been announced that the latest movie to hit Japan, Volcanion & The Ingenious Magearna is to be dubbed later this year under the title Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel. Currently not distribution methods for the movie have been revealed, whether it's direct to DVD or will be aired on Cartoon Network across the world. A trailer has been released for it, as well

Pokémon XY Steam Siege
The latest set based upon the games; Pokémon XY Steam Siege is released today and we have details from the set due to the recent pre-releases, with images thanks to SkittyOnWailord, although we are still missing a handful of images which hopefully will be added shortly. This set features the majority of cards from the Japanese Cruel Traitor & Fever-Burst Fighter sets and various promos. As such, I have added them to the database . For those of you who participated in the recent Sinnoh Classic Battle Competition, the entry gift is now available to all qualifying players. This gift is a Garchomp based on the Garchomp used by Sinnoh Champion in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Black & White. It can be redeemed until September 29th at 23:59 UTC. Having been given through various means back in 2014 globally, Nintendo Japan has finally added the special Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire demo for free to the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This is the same demo as the original and will be available until September 30th 2016.

Pokémon Shuffle - Events
A few brand new challenges have begun on Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Shuffle Mobile.
First, the next Mega Stone Competitive Stage has begun. This one will get you a Steelixite to get a Mega Steelix. If you rank in the top 1,800 in North America, 1,200 in Europe and 5,000 in Japan get a Steelixite, Mega Speedup and Raise Max Level. Those in the top 5,600 in North America, 3,800 in Europe and 15,000 in Japan get the Steelixite and Mega Speedup. Those in the top 22,000 in North America, 15,000 in Europe and 60,000 in Japan get a Steelixite and Disruption delay. Those in the top 30,000 in North America, 20,000 in Europe or 80,000 in Japan get an Attack Power and a Disruption Delay. All other players get an Attack Power
Next, a special event stage for Entei is running until August 9th. It may drop an Entei Skill Booster or a Raise Max Level
Next, Daily Pokémon (#3) is beginning a repeat run until August 16th. This contains Girafarig, Kecleon, Shuckle, Relicanth and Spiritomb in each respective day
Next, the Ash-Greninja stage is also beginning a repeat run until August 16th. It may drop Ash-Greninja Skill Boosters
Finally, the Reshiram stage has also begun a repeat run until August 16th. It may drop Reshiram Skill Boosters
All of these require the version 1.3.16 to download. Our Pokémon listings have been updated with these Pokémon

For those of you who have the social media app, LINE on your iOS, Android or Windows Mobile devices, The Pokémon Company has today put out a batch of 40 animated stickers that can be used in messages on that social media app. These are a new set of stamps that were releasd in line with the Pokémon With U charity campaign in Japan and had people create images that could be used in the campaign

Pokémon Sun & Moon
The latest trailer for Pokémon Sun & Moon has been released by The Pokémon Company. This trailer reveals a lot of new Pokémon and features in the game.
First they reveal Alola Forms. These are new variations of classic Pokémon. Exeggutor is Grass/Dragon with the ability Frisk
Vulpix and Ninetales are Ice and Ice/Fairy with the ability Snow Cloak
Sandshrew and Sandslash are Ice/Steel with the ability Snow Cloak
There are new Pokémon.; First is Oricorio with four different forms, Fire/Flying, Electric/Flying, Psychic/Flying and Ghost/Flying. Its ability is Dancer which copies dance moves.
Minior is Rock/Flying with the ability Shields Down. With the Shields Down Ability, it will have excellent defensive capabilities as long as its shell is intact. It will also be protected from status conditions. But when its HP drops below half, its shell will break, and it will change to a form better suited to attacking.
Yungoos' evolution is called Gumshoos. Normal-type with Stakeout and Strong Jaw.
Two new Pokémon are Fomantis and its evolution Lurantis. They have the abilities Leaf Guard and the new move Solar Blade
Mudsdale's pre-evolution is the Ground-type Mudbray with Own Tempo and Stamina
You can ride various Pokémon using PokéRide which allows for you to travel on top of Pokémon like Charizard & Sharpedo
Z-Moves are utilising the special bracelet that trainers have. The Z-Ring fits on a Trainer’s arm, and Z-Crystals are set into it. If a Pokémon holds the same variety of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another. Crystals that correspond to each Pokémon type have been found in the Alola region. There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokémon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal.
When you see these moves in action in the game, each overwhelmingly powerful move will be on full display, filling the entire screen! A special bit of merchandise for a Z-Ring will also be released which will light up in tandem with use on Sun & Moon
There's a special Island Challenge where you face up against Trial Captains who specialise in certain types of Pokémon. You can also face a Pokémon known as a Totem Pokémon, who can then call on other wild Pokémon for help. There are over 4 Trial Captains

Pokémon - Arceus Distribution
The Arceus Distribution has begun globally. This distribution offers a special Level 100 Arceus to all players of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. Unlike the last two Mythical distributions, this one is distributed via code obtained in stores. The codes can be redeemed until November 30th 2016. They are found in the following places

Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - 3DS Themes
Following their release in Japan last week, the three new Pokémon 3DS themes have been confirmed to be coming to Europe on Friday. The first is the Pokemon: Pair Art Gardevoir & Gallade which features special art of Gardevoir & Gallade. It has the music Wally's Theme from Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
Secondly is the Pokemon: Pair Art Latios & Latias which features Latios & Latias and the music Soaring at Night from Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. It comes in a bundle with the Gardevoir & Gallade themes for Ł3.19 (€3.49)
Finally is the Pokémon Amie Substitute theme which features imagery of the Substitute on the bottom screen and lots of Substitute and Pokémon on the top screen. It has the music from the Pokémon Amie mini-games in Pokémon X & Y. It can be purchased for Ł1.79 (€1.99)

Pokémon GO
A new patch update has come to Pokémon GO on iOS. This patch is Version 1.1.1 and is said to fix some issues with performance when in lists and Pokémon detail screens. It's also correcting a link for app upgrades. Currently no version has gone live on Android but we'll post when it comes..
