Pokémon GO Referrals

Referrals were introduced in Pokémon GO in March 2021 as a means to give players incentive to get players who have stopped playing or are new to the game to play. Each player has the ability to get a code to give to other players who join the game, or if they have been away from the game for 90 days.

If the player enters the code, the new player will get special bonuses such as 100 Poké Balls while the player whose code they used can get access top a myriad of rewards based on the progress of that player since they started the game. This can be accessed through their Friend List entry.
