Gear

Gear is an element found late in the game of Pokémon Masters EX. After you have completed Chapter 18: The Unova Trio in both Single Player and Co-Op on Hard, Professor Bellis will arrive and give you a special Training Mission. Complete this and you gain access to special Gear

Gear are essentially hold items where you will get various objects that give various boosts to your Pokémon's stats beyond their standard stats and you can equip them to your team. You can equip up to 3 items to your team at any one time: one Pin, one Bracelet and one Bandanna.

Each piece of Gear will boost a specific stat:
Pin - Boosts HP
Bandanna - Boosts Special Attack Bracelet - Boosts Attack

Each gear has a specific type and if your Sync Pair isn't of the type, you'll only get half the boost.

Gear can be upgraded. Each Gear has got a specific Level and Star rating. You can go to Upgrade Gear in the Team option and can boost the power of the Gear using various materials you obtain in EX Training Co-Op Courses and Very Hard Co-Op Courses. With the material, you can boost up the Level of the Gear and they will have a better effect

You can also unlock the Level Cap of each piece of Gear, much like you would for a Sync Pair by using multiple of the same Gear..

Required items to upgrade your gear:
Banadanna - Scissors
Bracelet - Threads
Pin - Needles

You can also exchange any unwanted Gear in the shop in exchange for Coins.
