To coincide with Earth Day and the push for sustainability, an event was held that had you catch Poison-type Pokémon, adding Binacle to the game. It also unlocked special bonuses from 10pm to 8pm local time on April 25th based on how many people participated and did tasks in Niantic's Sustainability program
