The Team Rocket Attacks Villain Event has begun in Pokémon Masters EX. This event is the third Villain event and ties in with the new story arc. It runs until June 16th.
A new Master Fair Scout is now available to get the Sync Pair of Ethan & Lugia. The scout runs until July 14th
Alongside this, a new Epic Battle Event, Trio of Justice is also now available.

On June 11th and June 12th are the Pokémon Japan Championships 2022, competitions for VGC, TCG and GO, which will be streamed. During the VGC stream, a special distribution will be live of a Sableye for Pokémon Sword & Shield. This Sableye is based on the Sableye used by the Japan Championships 2021 Champion, Kohei Fujida, and is Level 50 with the ability Prankster and the moves Fake Out, Quash, Foul Play and Trick and comes holding the Eject Button. Patches have gone live on Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch and Mobile. These fix a couple of bugs that have been happening in the game including errors when trying to save after depositing Pokémon, and the regional Pokédexes resetting after using the GTS and Wonder Box on mobile. Players who were affected by the error 10015 are eligible for a 10 day extension of the Premium Plan to make up for the lost days. If they are on the Basic Plan now, they will get 10 days of Premium for free. We're currently working out all the changes so be sure to keep checking back

Today marks the release of the new Pokémon Sword & Shield TCG Set, Astral Radiance. It is made up of the Battle Region, Time Gazer and Space Juggler sets from Japan. Master League and Fossil Cup will run from June 15th - 22nd. Fossil cup only allows Water, Rock and Steel-type Pokémon
Great League and Retro Cup will run from June 22nd - 29th. Retro Cup doesn't allow Fairy, Dark, Steel-type Pokémon
Ultra League and Kanto Cup will run from June 29th to July 6th
All three leagues will run from July 6th - 13th
Great League and Flying Cup will run from July 13th - 20th. Flying Cup only allows Flying-type Pokémon
Ultra League and Little Cup Remix will run from July 20th - 27th. Little Cup only allows Pokémon that haven't evolved but can evolve. It won't allow Vulpix, Bronzor, Cottonee or Deino
Master League and an unnamed cup will run from July 27th - August 3rd

A GO Battle Day focused on Mankey will run on June 18th all day. There will also be Timed Research which gives Experience, Rare Candy, Elite Charge TM and Bea's Gloves. It will also have 4* Stardust from win rewards. From 11am to 2pm, it will give Mankey as a guaranteed encounter and if evolved during the three hours, will know the move Cross Chop.

First there are some changes to the tutorials with players getting given Blue & Pidgeot instead of Whitney & Miltank. There's a new Daily Mission of complete a player area in Sync Orb Area for 10 Battle Points each day
A new story will be added to the Johto arc on May 30th which also has an event to strengthen Silver & Ho-Oh. There are three Master Scouts available in this event; Ethan & Lugia, Lyra & Celebi and Kris & Suicune
A Time Trial event will run on June 6th. This one will have no practice match and you can use whatever Sync Pairs you desire
A Story Event Revel in Rivalry will run on June 16th focusing on battles with Rivals
A Solo event will run on June 22nd
At the end of June, two seasonal outfits will be released

There are Ditto cards that you will find in the booster pack that are hidden behind an extra card layer. These are denoted by a Ditto icon and need the top layer peeling off. The top layer has got a Ditto icon and can't be used in competitive play

When you deposit Pokémon from BDSP you will get a gift of Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup with Hidden Abilities
When you put Pokémon from Legends Arceus, you will get a gift of Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott with highest Effort Levels
Pokémon HOME mobile will allow for you to check the Pokédex of each game connected to your Pokémon HOME as well as the National Pokédex. This only registers Pokémon that have been in their respective game's Pokédex and they only register Pokémon caught in those games. If a Pokémon hasn't had its Pokédex page completed in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it will note as such in Pokémon HOME. There are also new Stickers and Achievements coming
The moves that Pokémon can learn in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon Sword, and Pokémon Shield differ from those that they can learn in other games, so a Pokémon’s moves will not be reflected when it is transferred to another game. When a Pokémon is taken to another game for the first time, the moves it can use will be determined by its level.
If a Pokémon is brought from the game it was caught into another game and learns other moves, and is then brought back to the game it was caught in, it will go back to having the moves that it originally knew
Special Pokémon from BDSP that can only be caught once during regular gameplay can only be deposited once per save data to Pokémon HOME.

Niantic have announced details the next Pokémon GO Fest event in sapporo this August 5th - 7th. Tickets cost 3000¥ for entry on one day with two time zone slots; Morning from 08:00 to 13:30 and Afternoon from 14:30 to 20;00 though the event lasts all day. You can get boosts outside the park in the other time slot. It adds shiny Swirlix and Pansage to the game

To check the results you need to go to VS and then into the Battle Stadium feature and check previous competitions. Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Pokémon Water Festival event and is due to run from May 12th at 10:00 to May 20th at 20:00 local time and introduces Dewpider, Araquanid & costume Lapras into the game alongside Shiny Binacle
A Global Challenge will run from May 11th through May 21st. If players catch 600 million Water-type Pokémon, then they will get 2* Catch candy for the rest of the event
There will be Timed Research to encounter Lapras with a Scarf, Dewpider as well as 50 Gyarados Mega Energy, 1,000 XP and 1,000 Stardust
Poliwhirl, Tentacool, Slowpoke, Goldeen, Staryu, Magikarp, Marill, Mantine, Lotad, Surskit, Carvanha, Wailmer, Tympole, Alomomola, Binacle and Dewpider will be in the wild

The next online competition has begun. This competition, the Global Challenge 2022 is a Double Battle competition with standard VGC rules. All players who enter and participate in at least 3 battles will receive 50 BP. This competition is also being used to determine the entrants for the Japan Championships in Japan, and players can earn Championship Points if enrolled in the Play! Pokémon circuit
Battles will run from May 6th 00:00 UTC to May 8th 23:59 UTC.

Pokémon TCG - Dark Phantasma
The Pokémon Company have officially revealed all the standard cards the next set for the Pokémon Sword & Shield TCG. This is the tenth TCG set's subset: Dark Phantasma and is out next week May 13th 2022. This set is a set primarily based around Pokémon from the Hisui Region including the first cards for more of the new Pokémon and forms introduced including Enamorus.
As such, our card listing and the associated Cardex have been updated with the details of this set with thanks to ToineLay for help with translation

Ranked Battle Series 12/Season 30 is now live. This ruleset returns to the set of using 2 Restricted Pokémon and brings back Dynamax. This season will run from May 1st at 04:00 UTC to May 31st at 23:59 UTC. Be sure to check out our section for full details and Pokémon restrictions.
With this, the twenty-ninth season of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from Armorite Ore up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement.
