Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO season, the Season of Heritage, starting December 1st through March 1st
This season is focused around the the past and features a variety of new elements
The Pokémon GO Johto Tour event has been announced. This follow up to this year's Kanto event will focus around Johto Pokémon and will be held in February 26th - 27th
December gives you 2* Catch Stardust for the first catch of the day. There will also be a Timed Research to earn Stardust to unlock a Deino Hat Avatar Item
January gives a 2* Catch Experience bonus for the first catch of the day. There will be a Timed Research to earn experience as a pre-purchase exclusive for GO Tour Johto which gives a Goomy Hat
February gives a Increased Candy XL from hatching eggs and 2* hatch experience with a Timed research Catch Challenge that gives you access to a Noibat Avatar Item. It is also a GO Tour Pre-Purchase exclusive
During this season, Pokémon will change. In cities, Porygon, Snubbull, Glameow, Bronzor, Lillipup, Trubbish, Solosis and more will appear more. In forest areas, Caterpie, Taillow, Croagunk, Joltik, Ferroseed, Karrablast, Shelmet & more will appear more. In the mountains, Clefairy, Aerodactyl, Teddiursa, Meditite, Numel, Hippopotas, Munna & More will appear more and near water, Psyduck, Lapras, Wingull, Barboach, Finneon, Feebas and Bidoof will appear more
In the northern hemisphere, Delibird, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Cottonee, Vanillite, Winter Form Deerling and more will appear in the wild
In the southern hemisphere, Tangela, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Carvanha, Combee, Summer Form Deerling and more will appear in the wild
Different Pokémon will also be appearing in eggs
Poliwag, Bellsprout, Swinub, Meditite, Barboach, Swablu, Bunnelby and more will be hatching from 2km Eggs
Onix, Azurill, Happiny, Munchlax, Snover, Froakie, Hippopotas and more will be hatching from 5km Eggs

First, the Research Breakthrough Reward has been announced. From December 1st 2021 at 20:00 UTC to January 1st 2022 at 20:00 UTC you'll get a Deino
Every Monday, a box containing 1 Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available
Reshiram & Zekrom will return to raid battles from December 1st 2021 through December 16th 2016. They will be available as Shiny Pokémon
Kyurem will be in Raid Battles from December 16th, with its Shiny also being available.
Mega Steelix will be available from December 1st through 23rd, with Abomasnow running December 23rd through January 7th
A Pokémon GO Incense Day focused around Swinub will run on December 5th from 11am to 5pm local time. We have added full details to our event section
The events through December have also been announced
An event themed around Dragonspiral Tower will be running from December 7th - 12th called Dragonspiral Descent
The annual Holiday event will run from December 16th through 31st and will run in two parts

In addition to that, a special Master Scout is now live that introduces the Sync Pair of Lusamine & Necrozma which runs until December 29th 2021. Pokémon Café ReMix
Pokémon Café ReMix has revealed the December schedule. First Holiday Piplup is going to be available from the start of the month to December 27th while a Greninja Points event runs until December 17th. Then, on December 17th, Alolan Vulpix will be available in a Points Event, followed by Kantonian Vulpix on December 27th in a Team Event alongside the Warm Cape costume available through a special Friendship Vulpix event that runs across both events
The December Pass will include a special Minccino Outfit and a Top Hat Rowlet
They have also confirmed that you now have a small chance of finding Shiny Minccino and Shiny Eevee coming to your Café,though an event with increased chances is to come

This event runs from 10:00 local time until 10:00 local time on November 29th and features new Special Research that unlocks the ability to get Hoopa Unbound. Players can also purchase the ticket if they unlocked the research to get double the rewards. It also features daily Raid Hours from 12pm and Spotlight Hours from 6pm. The Pokémon Company have officially revealed all the standard cards the next set for the Pokémon Sword & Shield TCG.This is the eighth TCG set and comes in one set: VMAX Climax and is out next week December 3rd 2021. This set is primarily a reprint set with some new cards scattered within and a lot of Character Rare cards; Special Arts featuring both trainers and Pokémon.
As such, our card listing and the associated Cardex have been updated with the details of this set with thanks to ToineLay for help with translation.

Great League & Great League Remix will run from November 29th - December 13th
Ultra League & Ultra League Remix will run from December 13th - 27th with the Holiday Cup beginning December 16th. Holiday Cup only allows Normal-, Grass-, Electric-, Ice-, Flying-, and Ghost-type Pokémon below 1500 CP
Master League, Master League Classic will run from December 27th - January 10th. You will receive 3* Stardust from winning.
Great League & Sinnoh Cup will run January 10th - 24th. Only Pokémon from Turtwig to Arceus will be allowed
Ultra League & Ultra League Premier Classic will run from January 24th - February 7th
Master League & Master League Premier Classic will run from Feb 7th - 21st with Love Cup being added. Love Cup only allows Red or Pink Pokémon
All three Leagues and the Johto Cup will run from Feb 21st through 28th. Johto Cup only allows Pokémon from Chikorita to Celeb under 1500 CP

A new Legendary Gauntlet event is announced for January next year, which allows for you to take on multiple Legendary Arenas in a row to get a new kind of Lucky Cookie to get new Lucky Skills

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Mischief Unbound event and is due to run from November 26th from 10:00 to November 29th at 20:00 local time and introduces Hoopa Unbound into the game
If you completed the Misunderstood Mischief research by December 1st at 09:59 local time, you will get the new Special Research for free, otherwise you can purchase it in the shop
You can change HoopaConfined to Hoopa Unbound for 50 Hoopa Candy and 10,000 Stardust but change back for 10 Hoopa Candy and 2,000 Stardust. This can be done after Page 2 of the Mischief Unbound Special Research
You will have 2* Catch Experience and 2* Transfer Candy
There will be daily Raid Hours from 6pm to 7pm local time:
November 26th - Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres
November 27th - Heatran
November 28th - Regirock, Regice, Registeel
November 29th, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion
There will be Spotlight Hours from 12pm to 1pm local time:

A new online tournament has been announced by The Pokémon Company for Japan. This is the Winter Tournament and entry is open now through the official site. Today marks the Pokémon GO Community Day. On this day, for six hours in each region, Shinx will appear, enmass, in Pokémon GO with a chance of Shiny Shinx appearing. During this event, when you evolve Luxio into Luxray, it will know the move Psychic Fangs, which is exclusive to this event. This coincides with 25% egg distance, 3* Transfer Candy and 3 hour Incense. This runs at these times:

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on December 18th & 19th will focus on all the Pokémon from 2021, with the 2020 ones appearing in Eggs and raids. There will be 50% Hatch Distance, 2* Catch Experience, 2 * Catch Stardust, and from December 17th to December 19th you'll have a 25% reduced cost for trades and an extra special trade a day
Machop, Roselia, Swablu, Gible, Snivy and Fletchling will spawn more on December 18th while Eevee, Duskull, Shinx, Tepig and Oshawott will on Sunday
Charmander, Weedle, Abra, Gastly, Rhyhorn, Magikarp, Porygon, Elekid, Magby, Seedot, Piplup and Budew will be in 2km Eggs and Charmander, Weedle, Abra, Gastly, Rhyhorn, Magikarp, Porygon, Electabuzz, Magmar, Seedot, and Piplup will be in raids
There will be special Timed Research and a Special Research story
Field Research will give you Mega Energy for Charizard, Beedirll, Gengar, Gyardos and Altaria
The Community Day runs at 11am to 5pm in each local time zone

The first Pokémon GO Special Performance has been announced. On November 22nd at 19:00 UTC, a special performance by Ed Sheeran will be accessible via the in-game news untl 21:00 UTC on November 30th. This will feature the songs "Perfect", "Bad Habits", "Overpass Graffiti", "Thinking Out Loud", "First Time", "Shivers",. Alongside this, Squirtle in Sunglasses will make its return to Pokémon GO and the song Overpass Graffiti will play every night. The Water-type Starters will also be spawning more frequently in the wild and a new avatar item will be available, alongside some stickers.

The Special Weekend event has been announced for 7-11 stores in Mexico. Running on December 11th like the others in Japan, you'll be able to get a ticket when you purchase over $50 of Agua Purificada 7-Select at the store.
This event features increased spawns of Pokémon including Geodude, Baltoy, Aron, Numel, Hippopotas, Bronzor, Shuckle and Onix with Unown S & E appearing. There will also be Timed Research to get encounters with Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Onix, Bronzor, Shuckle, as well as giving Mega Steelix Energy.

Ahead of the Shinx Community Day, the maximum amount of Pokémon you can store has been increased to 5000 and the maximum amount of Items you can store has been increased to 4000. To get to this amount, you need to purchase upgrades which increase your storage space by 50 a purchase.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl are now available to preload on Nintendo Switch consoles for digital players. With this, you can now purchase the game and download it in advance of the release date on November 19th 2021. The game will be unplayable until then. All players who download the game from the eShop before February will receive a Serial Code for 12 Quick Balls. The preload is 8GB and comes automatically with the Day 1 patch installed

The Pokémon Sword & Shield Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta event has been announced for Australia. Runs from November 19th 2021 at EB Games. Players will receive a code for Zamazenta for Sword or Zacian for Shield/
In addition to that, the US distribution has shifted and Shiny Zamazenta is now being given at Gamestop for Pokémon Sword players. It is available until November 26th

Battles for the next Battle Competition have begun. This competition, the Gym Challenge is a Single Battle competition that only allows for you to use Pokémon owned by the Gym Leaders of Galar. All players who enter get 50 BP

Pokémon Trading Card Game - 2021 Reveal
The Pokémon Company have officially announced the next new set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set is called Star Birth and will be released January 14th 2022. This set contains cards based around Sinnoh and introduces the recently revealed VSTAR mechanic. A VSTAR Marker was also revealed to be used when you play a VSTAR Power once per game. We'll provide full details on the set as it comes but have added all known cards to our Star Birth section

The Pokémon Company International have also officially revealed the next set, the equivalent of the above set. This set is to be called Brilliant Stars and is due for release in February 25th 2022. This set contains over 170 cards including
20 Pokémon V and 15 full-art Pokémon V,
Four new Pokémon VSTAR,
Three new Pokémon VMAX including Arceus VSTAR, Charizard VSTAR, Shaymin VSTAR and Whimsicott VSTAR. The expansion will also include a special Trainer Gallery subset of 30 cards with artwork featuring fan-favorite Trainers and Pokémon.

Ranked Battle Series 11/Season 24 is now live. This ruleset returns to the set of using 1 Restricted Pokémon and brings back Dynamax. This season will run from November 1st at 04:00 UTC to November 30th at 23:59 UTC. Be sure to check out our section for full details and Pokémon restrictions.
With this, the twenty-third season of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from Armorite Ore up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement.
