The fifth Tera Raid Battle event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is the Mighty Cinderace event. This event has Cinderace appearing in 7 Star Raids, and adds it to the game with Gyarados and Gengar joining it in 4 and 5 Star Raids. Players can only catch one Cinderace from raids per save file

Following the announcement last year, the first major Pokémon inclusion in the Universal Studios theme park has been announced. Starting March 1st, Pokémon will feature in a special Parade alongside Mario. This Parade is the NO Limit Parade and will feature a large collcetion of Pokémon including a Charizard float that flaps its wings and breaths smoke and other Pokémon appearing. It's currently unclear if any other Universal Studios Parks will get similar parades

The next Tera Raid Battle event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is the Unrivaled Charizard event. This event is the first 7 Star Raid Battle event and adds Charizard into the game for all players as a Dragon Tera Type. All players can participate in the Raid Battles but players can only see them spawn in their game if they have unlocked 6 Star Raid Battles. Players can only catch the Charizard once but can play again for more rewards. If players caught Charizard last time this event ran, they will not be able to catch another. This event will also feature 4 Star and 5 Star Florges and Mimikyu Raids

There will be a New year's Celebration to get once Unite License and one rental Holowear by logging in. The Pokémon are between Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, Clefable, Dodrio, Snorlax, Azumarill, Sableye, Absol, Garchomp, Lucario, Zoroark, Greninja, Talonflame, Zeraora, Cinderace, Greedent and Cramorant. The Holowear is Knight Style Charizard, Sacred Style Blastoise, Sacred Style Alolan Ninetales, Cook Style Munchlax, Punk Style Azumarill, Ruins Style Lucario, Ninja Stlye Greninja, Band Style Zeraora, Hero Style Cinderace and Frontier Style Cramorant

Another new mechanic change has been revealed for the Pokémon TCG starting with the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet set. From this set onwards, Pokémon Tools will no longer be considered Item cards but rather their own one meaning all cards that search for Item cards will be unable to search for them.

The first Pokémon Trading Card Game set for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet has been officially revealed. These will release in two sets: Scarlet ex and Violet ex and feature the first cards of Paldea Pokémon, alongside the return of Pokémon-ex and the addition of Terastal Pokémon, which have the mechanic of not receiving damage from Pokémon attacks when on the bench. They are due for release in Japan on January 20th 2023
Alongside this, three Starter Sets have been revealed which also feature some cards: Sprigatito and Lucario ex, Fuecoco and Ampharos ex and Quaxly and Mimikyu ex which also release the same day

Following the Japanese reveal, the English Scarlet & Violet TCG set has been revealed. This will release on March 31st 2023 and feature some changes. Yellow borders will be gone from the cards to match the Japanese sets and expansion logos are replaced by expansion codes on bottom left. There will be a slight price increase due to inflation but there will be three guaranteed foil cards per booster and all Rare or higher cards will be foil

Pokémon GO has added a new feature in the game, tracking the highest and lowest weight and height of all the Pokémon in your Pokédex. It will also inform you if you have caught a new record for either. There are also now medals for catching XXS and XXL size Pokémon in the game
At present, only three Pokémon have got visible changes for XXS and XXL, specifically Poochyena, Mightyena and Mawile. They have a special animation appear when you encounter one and their models are visibly different in size

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on December 17th & 18th will focus on all of this year's Pokémon. This event will 2* Catch Experience, 2* Catch Stardust, 50% Egg Distance, 2* Catch Candy and double the chance to get XL Candy as well as 3 hours Incense and Lure Modules.
On Saturday, Sandshrew, Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Geodude, Hoppip, Spheal and Stufful will spawn in the wild
On Sunday, Teddiursa, Galarian Zigzagoon, Starly, Roggenrola, Litwick and Deino will spawn in the wild
Bulbasaur, Dratini and Mudkip may spawn on both days. All Pokémon will appear in the wild from 9am to 9pm local time on both days
2021's Pokémon will appear in 1 Star Raids in the day: Machop, Eevee, Roselia, Swablu, Duskull, Shinx, Gible, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott and Fletchling
Machop, Eevee, Roselia, Swablu, Duskull, Shinx, Gible, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott and Fletchling will be in 2km Eggs

The second Tera Raid Battle event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is the Unrivaled Charizard event. This event is the first 7 Star Raid Battle event and adds Charizard into the game for all players as a Dragon Tera Type. All players can participate in the Raid Battles but players can only see them spawn in their game if they have unlocked 6 Star Raid Battles and players can only catch the Charizard once, but can play again for more rewards. This evnt will also feature 4 Star and 5 Star Forges and Mimikyu Raids

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle Series 1 Season 1 has begun. This Ranked Battle Season is the first in Scarlet & Violet and allows for players to use any Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex aside from Paradox Pokémon and Legendary Pokémon. This Series runs until January 31st 2023 while the Season runs until December 31st 2022

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Mythic Blade event and is due to run from December 6th at 10:00 to December 11th at 20:00 local time and introduces Keldeo into the game
In the main event, Crabrawler will be added
Mankey, Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Combusken, Makuhita, Meditite, Monferno, Poliwrath and Crabrawler will be in the wild
Meditite, Buizel, Timburr, Tympole will be in 1 Star Raids
Poliwrath, Aerodactyl, Skarmory and Breloom will be in 3 Star Raids
Galarian Farfetch'd, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop will bei n Field Research
There will be a Collection Challenge to get 1 Fast TM and 1 Charged TM
A special paid Ticket will be available to purchase for Special Research to get Keldeo Ordinary Form. You must play from December 10th 10:00 local time through 11th 20:00 local time to get the Research but it can be completed at any time. This research cwill get you Pokémon encounters, 2 Incense, 2 Super Incubators, 2 Incubators, 12 Silver Pinap Berries, 14 Rare Candies and a Keldeo T-Shirt. There will also be increased spawns of Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Beldum, Tympole and Ferroseed in Incense during those two days

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle is now live in the game. This mode allows for players to participate in Single and Double battles to rank up to Master Rank and earn rewards at the end of the season.
This season runs from 04:00 UTC tomorrow, December 2nd, until 23:59 UTC on January 31st
This ruleset allows for you to use any Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex except for Legendary or Paradox Pokémon
They have also stated that a problem related to balance will be fixed as the season starts

A bug fix patch is to go live tomorrow for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This brings the game up to Version 1.1.0 and adds Ranked Battle. It also fixes a bug with the Elite Four music not playing in some battles and some undescribed other issues
They also note and are investigating about other issues that affect progress and have been identified. They have also promised to take feedback seriously and will continue to make improvement

First, the Pokémon Urshifu is now available to purchase in the in-game store. We're currently compiling full details for urshifu in our Pokémon section for the game. Some new Holowear has been made available as well; the Holiday Style for Urshifu in the store and some more Holiday Holowear is available through Login Bonuses
Two new Hold Items are available in the game. We have full details on their stats at all 30 Grades in our Hold Items section.
The special Holidays Event has begun a repeat run with its Snowball Battle mode returning. This runs until December 26th 2022
A new set of Event Missions are now available
A new Battle Pass - Aurora Style Gardevoir is now available, offering Holowear of Aurora Style Gardevoir and Holiday Style Gengar
50 new sets of Emblems are also now available, with the details being added to our section
