The next Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Online Competition has been announced. This competition is the Global Challenge 2023 1 competition and follows current VGC Rules (Regulation C). This competition is being used in both Japan and Korea for the top players to earn an invite to a qualifier for their own National Championships to earn a place for the Pokémon World Championships
Registration is open from 00:00 UTC on March 30th until April 6th at 23:59 UTC while battles run from 00:00 UTC on April 7th through 23:59 UTC on April 9th.
It gives 10,000 League Points to all players and a Poké Ball Canvas Backpack for players connected to Pokémon HOME as a reward for participating in 3 or more battles. The code for the backpack will be given through Pokémon HOME after the competition ends

Niantic have announced a nerf to the ability to use Remote Raid Passes in Pokémon GO
From April 6th, you will only be able to use 5 Remote Raid Passes a day whicvh may increase for special events
The price of the Remote Raid Pass three-pack will increase to 525 PokéCoins.
The price of single Remote Raid Passes will increase to 195 PokéCoins.
You may now get Remote Raid passes in Research Breakthrough rewards, but if players have 3 already, they will receive a Premium Battle Pass instead

In addition to this, the Version 3.10 update has been reeleased. This update provides a few new features including new Delivery Stamps. This lets you build up stamps when you use Acorns for delivery. Pokémon League Challenge & League Cup
Following their absence in the last few years due to the global situation, the local events, League Challenge and League Cups have been confirmed to return in the 2023 season starting in April. These offer a small amount of Championship Points for players to earn towards their Worlds Invite. Local Game Stores and other accredited event spaces will start hosting them soon
Premier Challenges for the Video Game Championships will also begin in May Pokémon GO is also to receive local competitions starting in North America with players earning the most points getting travel stipends to NAIC in June. The Pokémon GO Championship Series will undergo changes going into the 2024 Season to include Championship Points, and more information is to come

The Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U is now no longer allowing for new purchases to be made. As such, the utility software, Pokémon Bank is now free to use. This allows for you to store your Pokémon from Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and, if previously downloaded, transfer from Virtual Console games and Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 or White 2 using Poké Transporter. You can still transfer to Pokémon HOME but you will need an active Pokémon HOME subscription to do so

THis collaboration is with the Japanese airline ANA and will run from June 6th 2023 through October 4th 2023 and features a new jet with various Flying Pokémon on it. Details have been released for the coming month of Pokémon Masters EX. First you will be able to unlock some 6 Star EX without getting an EX style
A Costume event will run on March 31st 2023. This event, Solve the Mystery Case comes in two parts and features four Sync Pairs including Steven & Stoutland and Shauna & Klefki. Steven & Stoutland are a Tech Sync Pair that can power up allies while weakening the opponent. Shauna & Klefki are a Support Sync Pair that can raise ally stats while lowering opponents
New options will be added to the Champion Stadium Master Mode that allow you to earn more points in a battle, up to 2,500. A new event, Pasio Special Stadium, will run on April 11th and feature battles against a mix of Elite Four and Champion
A new event, Trainer Files, will be added in late April which ives certain trainers a spotlight with a mini story. The first focus is on Kanto Elite Four
A Special Event, Helping Out on Pasio, will run which features missions different to regular missions that don't have specific requirements. The next part of the Paolo Interlude will release and a new Pasio Eggsplorers Event will run

A new event has been announced for Japan. To celebrate the Pokémon Center's 25th anniversary, from April 22nd until June 30th, all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan will give players a Serial Code for Scarlet & Violet to get Pikachu. This Pikachu knows the move Celebrate and is at Level 25 holding TM025, Facade. This Pikachu will also be eligible for either the Jumbo Mark or the Mini Mark. Two special shows have been announced for airing in Japan to tie in with the new anime series
First, the Pokémon Music Festival will air on March 31st 2023 and features artists singing various themes from the Pokémon anime, while the first perfomance of the new theme for the new anime series will air

Pokémon Masters EX has begun a special set of events featured around the character of Ball Guy. There are four events running featuring Ball Guy and include the addition of Poké Ball Replicas for the Trainer Lodge
First, a special Variety Scout has been added which adds the Sync Pair of Ball Guy & Amoonguss. It runs until April 7th 2023
The main Story Event, Galar's Poké Ball Enthusiast has begun. This event tells the story of Ball Guy arriving on Pasio and features a variety of battles to earn items
A special Expedition Event Search for the Ball Pokémon has been added. This has you play through a stage to search for a Ball Pokémon, getting items as you go
A new Egg Event, Do You Want An Egg? has begun. This event has you collect Eggs that can hatch into Voltorb or Exeggcute, with Shiny Voltorb now being available
A Gear Event, Collecta-ball Poison Gear has begun. This event has you face off against Ball Guy in some co-op stages to get the Poison-type Gear

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on April 15th will focus on Togetic. This event will 25% Egg Distance, 2* Catch Candy and double the chance to get XL Candy as well as 3 hours Incense and Lure Modules.
There will be Timed Research to get up to 5 Sinnoh Stones
Togepi has an increased chance of being in Eggs
It will also give out the move Aura Sphere to Togekiss. You will be able to purchase a ticket to receive Special Research "Spreading Cheer".
The Community Day runs at 2pm to 5pm in each local time zone

This is the mysterious character Amethyo (voiced by Shun Horie), who has a Ceruledge and is part of the mysterious Explorers group which features Zir (voiced by Kohsuke Tanabe) and his Rhydon and Conia (voiced by Arisa Shida) and her Golduck

Some further details have been released for the next series of the Pokémon anime. This includes the first look at the poster for the anime series which shows a mysterious trainer with Ceruledge as well as various other Pokémon. The show will start with a one hour long special on April 14th 2023

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The next Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Online Competitions have been announced as part of the run up to the Pokémon Japan Championships this June. There will be three preliminary online competitions where the top 150 players in Japan from each tournament will qualify for entry. These competitions all use the recently revealed Regulation C format
The competitions will run as follows:
April 7th - 9th 2023
April 21st - 23rd 2023
May 5th - 7th 2023
These dates are expected to be competitions that everyone can enter but we'll get full details as they come
Japanese players will then be invited to a final Qualification battle on May 14th online before the Top 64 get an invite to the finals held June 10th & 11th

The Pokémon Company have officially revealed all the standard cards the next set for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG. This is the set: Triplet Beat and is out next week, March 10th, in Japan.

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on March 18th will focus on Slowpoke & Galarian Slowpoke, introducing Shiny Galarian Slowpoke into the game. This event will 3* Catch Experience, 2* Catch Candy and double the chance to get XL Candy as well as 3 hours Incense and Lure Modules.
There will be Timed Research to earn 4 King's Rock and Galarian Slowbro's evolution requirements will change to requiring Psychic-types for the duration of the event
It will also give out the move Surf to Slowbro, Galarian Slowbro, Slowking and Galarian Slowking. You will be able to purchase a ticket to receive Special Research "Field Notes: Slow and Slower".
The Community Day runs at 2pm to 5pm in each local time zone

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Festival of Colors event and is due to run from March 8th at 10:00 to March 14th at 20:00 local time and introduces Mega Medicham & Bruxish into the game
A colourful surprise will happen by Poké Stops
Lure Modules during the event will last 3 hours and there will be Photobombs during the event for the Pokémon Smeargle, with Shiny Smeargle appearing during the event
A Collection Challenge will run to earn 20,000 XP and a Lure Module
Paras, Krabby, Lickitung, Koffing, Natu, Wobbuffet, Shuckle, Galarian Zigzagoon, Wingull, Burmy, Stunky and Bruxish will spawn in the wild
Espurr, Rockruff, Mareanie and Bruxish will be in 1 Star Raids
Exeggutor, Alolan Exeggutor, Cryogonal and Druddigon will be in 3 Star Raids
Ho-Oh will be in 5 Star raids with Mega Medicham in Mega Raids
Alolan Grimer, Castform, Burmy and Oricorio will be in Field Research
A special pose will be available to purchas ein the shop: The Color Throw Pose

It also has changed things so you need a Nintendo Account to redeem Mystery Gifts in the app

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet - Ranked Battle
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle Series 3 (Regulation C) has been officially announced. This Series will run from April 1st 2023 through to June 30th 2023 and adds the ability to use the Treasures of Ruin, Wo-Chien, Ting-Lu, Chien-Pao and Chi-Yu, in Single and Double Battles in Ranked Battle
The Series will also now be name changed. Series 1 was Regulation A, Series 2 was Regulation B and Series 3 is Regulation C

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle Series 2 March Season has begun. This new Series adds the Paradox Pokémon to the allowed Pokémon list. This ruleset will run until March 31st 2023 at 23:59 UTC
Alongside this, as Series 2 | Season 3 is now over, the rewards are able to be collected for all players

A new trainer has been added to Pokémon Masters EX's Trainer Lodge. From now on, if you have obtained Gloria & Zacian already, you have the ability to invite Gloria into the Trainer Lodge and befriend her. If you get the Friendship Level to 100, you will now be able to get the new Sync Pair, Gloria & Thwackey. We have updated our Trainer Lodge Topics page to include the points each topic will give you when you speak to Gloria
Alongside this, a new Poké Fair Scout is now live allowing you to get the sync pair of Gloria & Zacian. This runs until April 1st 2023
