Biography
Alder is the champion of the Unova region. As such, he is first seen in a flashback to when Trip was a child. he was seen in a festival defeating a trainer. After it, Alder kindly spoke to Trip, encouraging him to become a strong Pokémon trainer.

Bouffalant was seen briefly in the flashback, seen taking out a Herdier with a very powerful Head Charge attack. Afterwards, Alder let a young Trip feed the Bouffalant while inspiring him to be the best trainer
