Biography

Cilan is one of the Gym Leaders of Striaton City Gym. In addition to the Gym Leader duties, he is also a Pokémon Connoisseur and is capable of seeing the compatibility and closeness between Pokémon and their trainers. After his defeat at the hands of Ash, he decided to join Ash & Iris on their journey throughout the region of Unova. He has two brothers, Chili and Cress

	Pansage Pansage is Cilan's star Pokémon and is often seen outside of its Pokéball with Cilan. It has powerful attacks such as Bullet Seed and SolarBeam which allowed it to hold its own in battle against Ash's Oshawott Obtained Prior to Episode: Triple Leaders, Team Threats
	Crustle Having evolved in battle against Jessie's Woobat, Cilan's Crustle became an even more powerful powerhouse of Cilan's team. It has powerful attacks such as Rock Wrecker which it used to defeat Team Rocket's Pokémon. I Evolved into Crustle in Episode: Crisis in Chargestone Cave!
	Stunfisk While trying to find some plants to heal the Pokémon, Ash got attacked by a Palpitoad which also ordered Stunfisk to attack. This Stunfisk kept Ash and Oshawott at bay with its powerful Thunder Shock and Mud Bomb attacks, but Cilan managed to hook it with his fishing rod, making it dizzy and then slammed it to the ground causing it to faint. Cilan caught it soon afterwards. It has since been a powerful part of Cilan's team with its powerful attacks such as Scald Captured in episode: Facing Fear With Eyes Wide Open!!

	Dwebble When Ash & Co. found Dwebble, they saw it making its own shell. However, it soon got attacked by three Dwebble and lost its shell. Fighting back to get its shell, it used many powerful attacks such as X-Scissor, Dig and Rock Slide to defeat its foes with Protect and Shell Smash to allow it to have great strategies. After it recovered its shell, it asked to join Cilan's team. Since then, it has become a vital part of Cilan's team and has won many battles such as against Trip's Gurdurr and Burgundy's Dewott. It eventually evolved in battle against Team Rocket Obtained in Episode: A Home for Dwebble Evolved into Crustle in Episode: Joltik, Galvantula! Chargestone Cave!!
	Basculin Cilan caught Basculin while partaking in a faked Pokémon Fishing Contest held by Team Rocket. He caught it in battle with his Pansage where it used powerful attacks including Water Gun, Bite and Aqua Tail before eventually submitting in battle and getting captured. However, despite the brief capture, Basculin was released by a wild Frillish. Obtained & Released in Episode: A Fishing Connoisseur in a Fishy Competition
